  2. Technically, burning a dual-layer disc is much more difficult than burning a single-layer disc, and this is where an up-to-date firmware comes into play: since your drive is old and firmware support for it was dropped long ago, it doesn't support the newer blanks you have. It does, however, support the Verbatim 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) DVD+R DL blanks because they've been around since forever, and by that I mean ever since dual-layer burning was available So you can either try the jurassic Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL blanks or you'll need to buy a new burner in order to use the blanks you have.
  3. Use a lens cleaning disc on that burner. Where are your blanks made? It's printed on the box/packaging/spindle.
  4. The log of those burns with buffer underruns would be useful too.
  5. Then you were ripped because even the latest firmware for it is from 2005.
  6. There's nothing special about verify: it simply checks the disc against the source image to see if they match. The disc that worked may have just enough quality to be read by your Wii, and this is where media quality plays an important part.
  7. You should try those discs on another Wii in order to see if yours is picky about the media it can read.
  8. You didn't verify the burn, so we don't know if it's a good burn or not. You can do it manually by using ImgBurn's Verify mode. Also try burning with higher quality media such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden blanks.
  9. When you used ImgBurn you also didn't get any error at the burning process, but it did come up when ImgBurn went on to verify the burn. If the other program doesn't verify then it isn't a fair comparison, is it?
  10. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and try burning again at 6x or 4x.
  11. Please read the pink banner at the top of this page (i.e. post the log which you can find in ImgBurn's Help menu).
  12. It seems you have one (or many) program(s) that change the way Windows looks/works, and any one of those could be doing that to ImgBurn's main window.

  14. Look for updated drivers for your motherboard's chipset and/or SATA controller. Also post your Filter Driver Load Order (look in ImgBurn's Tools menu).
  15. And where's the log showing your problem? You can find the logs in ImgBurn's Help menu.
  16. Please take a screenshot of what you're seeing and attach it to your next post.

    I/O Error

Your burner doesn't like those blanks. Try with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks and it should work.

  20. Try creating a MDS or DVD file (look in ImgBurn's Tools menu) by adding your gi files in the correct sequence, then check if the resulting MDS/DVD file is mountable. If it doesn't work that way then you may want to join the gi files manually (copy /b should do the trick) and you'll end up with the big ISO you want, at least theoretically

    Help?

You're using the wrong type of blanks: DVD+R DL is what you need.
  22. The layerbreak is only important when dealing with DVD-Video. How about posting a log so that we can see what you're doing? You can find them in ImgBurn's Help menu.
  23. http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download <- this is the download page and there are 8 mirrors where you can download ImgBurn from, all at the top of the page.
  24. We have a guide for that already, it's right here -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6380
  25. You probably need to extract those ISOs with something like 7-zip and then re-author them together with something like DVD Shrink. Of course we wouldn't have to guess if you provided the log of that burn as per the pink banner at the top of this page
