  1. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and try again with a brand new blank disc. If it doesn't work then use a lens cleaning disc on that burner, try with Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL blanks or buy a new burner.
  2. IOO? Never heard of that one. Did you mean i00 (zero zero)? How did you get it? Usually you can burn the .dvd or .mds file and it'll tell ImgBurn to read the i00/i01/etc files in the correct sequence.
  3. Post the log of the new burn.
  4. You can find Verbatim DVD blanks on pretty much any store that sells DVD blanks. As for the Taiyo Yuden blanks (equally good as the Verbatim blanks) you can find them on online stores (have a look in the ones listed here).
  5. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and try again with a brand new blank disc.
  6. Also make sure your burner has the latest firmware.
  7. Just a minute later, I wouldn't call it slow at all
  8. Your burner doesn't support those blanks. Try with Verbatim DVD+R DL blanks and it should work. You could try crossflashing that burner but I'm not sure if it would add support for that media
  9. Try a lens cleaning disc on that burner.
  10. Yes, but the DVD+R standard doesn't support Test Mode
  11. It should work fine with both 2.4x and 4x write speeds. Newer burners seem to do a better job at 4x on that media
  12. Windows checks for drivers, not firmware
  13. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and try burning at 4x with a brand new blank disc. If it doesn't work at first, try a lens cleaning disc on that burner.
  14. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and try again. If it doesn't work, try a lens cleaning disc on that burner.
  15. If it's the same drive as your other post then you'll need to crossflash the drive into a BenQ DW1620 before it accepts booktype commands.
  16. Your burner doesn't support those newer 8x blanks (the latest firmware is from 2005), not to mention that particular disc was damaged in a previous failed burn. You could try finding the Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL blanks that should work with your burner, or you'll need to buy a new burner.
  17. If I were you I'd look into replacing that burner. Maybe it's still under warranty?
  18. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_Access_Archive - the standard isn't even published, how could LUK add support for it? It almost seems like they don't want anyone else using it
  19. If you look under the disc, does it appear to have been written? If you put that disc in your other burner, does it also see the disc as empty?
  20. With ImgBurn in Write mode and that disc inside the external Samsung burner, please copy and paste here all the text shown by ImgBurn.
  21. What's the brand of the blanks you're using?
  22. Try with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks if you can, or else you should start looking for a new burner
  23. Your burner thinks there's no disc inside. Try applying the newest firmware update (remove any disc from the drive and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished). What's the type, brand and rated speed of the blanks you've tried?
  24. If you already have a CUE file then you could follow this guide.
  25. Your drive is in PIO mode so read this post on how to solve that problem.
