  6. i think he is familiar with the programme, and although it will make an iso in dual layer size, it is not conforming to specs which is why imgburn gives you a message. dvd shrink was designed to shrink dual layer dvd's to single layer, hence the name
  7. Table Of Contents yeah it is the discs, although they may have worked in the past, the only dual layer discs worth using are verbatim MKM-001 made in singapore
  8. only if you want one, i have 2 pioneer drives , both work fine , i use mainly -R discs
  9. pioneer auto set dual layer to -rom. you need a special firmware to set +r discs to rom, there are no settings in imgburn to adjust pioneer drives

  12. did you delete the controller and reboot? you have dma problems
  13. try slowing your burn speed to 4x
  14. have you changed your discs recently? post a filter driver load order, you can find that in tools
  15. you still have dma issues. try checking your bios settings, you should be able to burn those discs at 16x (preferably at 8x or 12x though)

  17. how is the drive hooked up? same cable as hdd? how is the jumper set , master/slave/cs ? what sort of cable 40/80 wire?
  18. where did you see this? if you mean from drive properties, ImgBurn is only reporting that the drive is/isn't capeable of that feature
  19. if you just bought it, take it back and swap it for a dvd burner

  21. update your firmware, check your dma and turn verify on. then try some better discs (verbatim ot taiyo yuden) if you still have problems after all that then let us know

  24. semaphore time out is an error often seen with usb burners, usually something to do with ali chipsets in the usb enclosure, so moving the drive internal should stop that error
