check your dma, follow the instructions in this post http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?s=&...dpost&p=967
try backing down to 8x when you have checked dma and try burning again
personally i would drop the burn speed to 8x and buy some other discs, verbatim and taiyo yuden are all i use, CMC have a tendency to be unreadable after a short time, lots of users here cant even burn to them.
CMC MAG is the dye used on the discs you have, it could be two different 'producers' name on the disc (for example memorex/datawrite) you should buy yourself some verbatim or taiyo yuden discs to assure that you can watch your dvd in future, as cmc's have a tendency to degrade quickly.
look in the drives and media section to see the different dye types for verbatim and taiyo yuden discs
you are putting the discs in the burner and not in the rom?
the warning you are getting for drive G is just info to let you know not to try to move files of over 4gb onto it, as the limit for fat32 file system is just under 4gb
it will make a difference , it being in pio mode was causing the slow burns , now the next problem should not be speed but the cmc mags you are trying to burn to
let us know how you get on
before you invest in new equipment try verbatim and taiyo yuden discs on all your players.
typically cheaper discs cause the pixellating you describe , and its cheaper to get good discs than new players
