no problems with vista here, the read error just looks like a disc error , it would help to see the log,(help->imgburn logs) use verbatim or taiyo yuden discs and the errors should disappear

it could be unicode with the problem you are describing , support was added in 2.2.0.0 and we are now on 2.3.2.0 you should always use the newest version

which version of imgburn are you using?

mount the iso in daemon tools , view with power dvd , media player CLASSIC

what happens if you burn at 8x ?

good luck reading from your successful burn in say 6 months . i would rather pay for verbatim and know the data IS readable in the future smag og behag

LOL please note that dvd decrypter is not supported by this forum , but by your examples above , disc 2 is clearly a copy and of course can fit onto a dvd-r. imgburn still cant help you with what you want to do

we can't offer you any help with dvd shrink, sorry

neither program can/could ever make a dual layer fit on single layer

no problems with 2.3.2.0 and DIP here PM , using vista so cant confirm XP
