most people visiting here are trying to make dual layer disc backups so they don't lose any quality due to compression using the likes of shrink. im almost sure that 2 single layer discs are still cheaper than one dual layer disc , no matter where you are located. apart from that , i dont even know if what you are proposing will work , i have personally never tried it and with the price of dual layer over here im not willing to risk it either sorry! maybe someone else can throw some light on it for you

the statement made by kevdriver is correct he has tested it on his samsung and i have tested it on my lg h22n, it works fine

LUK makes sure it is 95 and 98 compatible.

get better discs , CMC aren't highly regarded
-
you have to look at the supported speeds, if it doesn't support it for a certain disc, it will not burn at an unsupported speed

http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=1710 http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=2242 http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=693 these posts all use the same dye, to be able to scan using dvd infopro you need a drive that can scan accurately and includes jitter measurement, my benq drives have these features, i believe some lite on drives do too. theres a quick guide of how to interpret the scans here http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=2168 -
Recent verification error on DL switch w/Plextor 718SA

you may have had some luck up to now with the ritek discs, but they really are inferior, take a look at the scans we have made of them in the drives and media forum, most have problems around the layer break, that's why we recommend and use only verbatim +R D/L -

are you choosing iso 9660 + UDF or just Iso9660? why are you trying to make a build with an iso file , you should just use write mode and point the programme at the .mds file where the layer break info is stored, if you have no .mds file then mount the iso in daemon tools and transfer the files to your hdd and follow this guide http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=1780

its done automatically when the files are on your hdd
