  1. if you save to avi, and your dvd standalone player supports playing avi, then use build mode. check the guides page http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showforum=4
  2. you can't, if you have write errors your disc won't work
  3. its not something imgburn can do, we can't discuss ripping on this forum, sorry
  4. YOUR DISC IS PROBABLY PROTECTED, THIS IS NOT SOMETHING WHICH IMGBURN CAN DO ANYTHING ABOUT AS IT IS PRIMARILY A BURNING TOOL TRY IN A 360 SUPPORT FORUM.
  5. second drive is a reader not a writer http://www.sonynec-optiarc.com/products/hhid_dvdrom/index.html
  6. your drive only supports one speed, and it doesn't like those discs. leave imgburn on spti when you get your verbatims
  7. your quality rating is misleading due to the fact your burner is not ideal for scanning as it doesn't show jitter. your quality score could fall by over 10 if you had jitter. another thing which cynthia mentioned is most errors show at the outside of the discs, so you need to do a discovery burn to get a better idea of what they are like. i have some really crap discs here that scan perfectly up to half way , a full burn using discovery and they won't even verify
  8. i have printed on yudens and verbatim with epson 300 and 360 printers, no problems on either disc or printer
  9. rite wonce sorry , couldn't resist
  10. is the drive they are stored on fat32?
  11. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Samsung/TS-L632D/files.html
  12. are you expecting to be able to add bits to your dvd at different times? ie use it like a floppy disc? if so then imgburn doesn't work this way, its easier to use an usb pen or a folder on your hdd and then burn when the contents reach the capacity of a disc
  13. how big is the file size? forget about the amount of minutes involved and look at the properties of the data, if it is under 4.37gb then it will fit onto single layer discs like your dvd+r
  14. from personal experience, though few verbatims have failed, both my plextor 760's are dead. have you tried a cleaning disc on the drive?
  15. if its not working with these discs then try some that are better, LUK linked to a thread where you can find them. as to whether the iso needs patching, that would be something you would need to ask on an xbox forum, imgburn is a burning programme, it can't patch anything
  16. you need a burner, not a reader
  17. i have printed discs from 5 yrs ago, they haven't cracked yet as to whether or not you can see the verbatim logo or not, if you are only using verbs, then you know it's a verb, and for dual layer, they are the best
  18. vlc is flexible http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
  19. physically? or did you just plug the enclosure into the usb port of your desktop? its the usb casing that causes the semaphore issue so removing the drive from the usb enclosure and mounting it physically in your desktop should solve the semaphore issue
  20. its probably the chipset in the usb enclosure that is causing the semaphore time out, another enclosure may work better, google semaphore timeout, theres not a lot you can do about it
  21. if you were using just UDF 1.02 it would read ok take a look here http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=11194
  22. do you have a laptop or a desktop pc?
  23. when you say it doesn't work do you mean it fails at burning or is it not recognised by imgburn? posting a log may help us to help you
  24. verify is a very important part of the process, if it can't verify, it probably won't play in a standalone player
