well i live in denmark so i can recommend some cheap stores here if that helps? good drives are nec/optiarc take a look in the drives section, a bit of research there may help you decide what suits you best regarding media, i use only taiyo yuden for single layer and verbatim for dual layer and taiyo yuden cd's

if i remember that old drive only writes to +R discs maybe it doesnt like the RW discs you are using post a log when you insert a +rw disc

in the country where lightning (the author of imgburn) lives, it is illegal and punishable by law to circumvent copyright protection. it will never be implemented into imgburn, and for the same reason, development of his earlier programme was halted.
