  1. There's no way it formatted with full certification in 53 seconds! Do you have any other BD-RE you can try? It seems to have an issue with that disc - and even though you said it's a Verbatim one, it doesn't use the same MID that mine do. Yours -> CMCMAG-CN2-000 Mine -> VERBAT-IM0-000
  2. What happens if you click cancel and when exactly are you seeing this message? It doesn't match up with the log you've posted.
  3. If it's saying the disc is not empty then the disc is not empty. When you're burning stuff, ImgBurn only works with new blank discs (or ones it can erase).
  4. Hardware defect management is only enabled when a disc with 'spare areas' has been inserted. It's a drive thing and not something you can change (without formatting the disc with spare areas enabled).
  5. You only need to format the BD-RE discs once, so just ignore the messages. They're more for my benefit than yours anyway. I'd need to see the disc info from the box on the right when you're in Write mode to see if spare areas have been enabled on the media (and you'd want them enabled for a more reliable backup - but it's only more reliable at the time of writing, they have no effect on readability). For reliable backups, you should probably use decent BD-R rather than BD-RE. Make sure you verify your burns too.
  6. ImgBurn makes no attempt to bypass copy protection. It'll normally warn you if you try and create an image of a protected disc using 'Read' mode.
  7. Your drive seems unable to write to those discs (at least at that speed - 2x). Try the other speeds. If they also fail, buy some better discs. If they also fail, try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc. If it still doesn't work, get yourself a new drive.
  8. You don't need to change any settings. Either your drive/firmware/media combo works or it doesn't. We've already pointed you to the sticky thread several times, please don't keep asking the same question hoping for a different answer - you won't get it. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  9. OpenCandy isn't something that's 'installed' and you ARE given the option to opt-out of any product offerings that get made by the OC platform during the ImgBurn installation wizard.
  10. That'll create an image but you're copying from one hardware environment and restoring to another. There could also be licensing issues.
  11. The filters required (or at least one version of them) are listed here. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=5555&do=findComment&comment=91374
  12. Try enabling the 'perform opc before write' option in the settings. If that doesn't work, try putting the 'write type' on 'incremental' in the settings. If everything was working properly, neither of those should be required. Maybe try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc?
  13. If you don't have the actual install disc, you're out of luck.
  14. The default settings work just fine. All you need to do is enable 'force hypertuning' on the drive and burn at 4x.
  15. What are the options (supported write speeds) with your drive/firmware/media combo? 4x would be a good place to start.
  16. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  17. It'll be in the debug log if you enable debug mode and then search for devices again... otherwise, no, it isn't.
  18. It seems weird you'd get '01 42' from both drives where it should be '44 49'. Can I assume you've tried it in safe mode too in order to see if you get the same response? Are the drives connected to Intel controllers or something else?
  19. The problem here is with your drive reporting invalid data in the disc information structure. I have no idea how or why it's doing that, but without the 'DI' signature bytes, my program ignores the response - even if the rest of it looks valid (which it does).
  20. Because you're new and new people can only make new topics. We don't like thread hijacking here.
  21. I see no log of you trying to burn Verbatim DVD+R DL media. That's the whole point of that thread.
  22. Hmm I fired up my BH10LS30 and that seems to work ok - at least with the BD-RE I had handy. Do you have other discs you can try? They need to be BD-R or BD-RE... it's a different command to DVDs. Your 2nd link just takes me back to this page. Did you mean the first link? That takes me to the place you purchased them from - but yeah, I can see the MID listed there.
  23. ImgBurn's installer uses the opencandy platform for product offerings at the time of installation. If you opt-in to installing those products or don't opt-out of installing them, they'll get installed. None of of the products being offered are physically bundled with ImgBurn, they're downloaded as and when required by the opencandy platform - again, based on the options you select at the time of installation. My guess is you missed one of the opt-outs and so had something installed that you didn't really want. All mirrors carry the same setup exe.
  24. Yes, it's a LiteOn thing. I just noticed that info being reported in one of the LiteOn tools and thought I'd add support for reporting it too. I have no idea what it's really reporting on or how it works - sorry!
  25. Ok, I've looked at your log in more detail now and can tell you that it's not working because the data returned by the drive is wrong/invalid. byte 4 and 5 in the disc info are supposed to be 'DI' and yours aren't. This is how it should be...
