  1. If you actually read the first line in the window that pops up, that's exactly what it says! Overburn burns as much as it can from the image until the drive errors out (if it errors out) - so anything after that point will be missing from the disc. Truncate burns as much of the image as will fit on the disc and then stops dead - so anything after that point will be missing from the disc. You aren't the only person in the world and you're only looking at it from your point of view. It's designed to allow for every possible situation - for both newbies and experienced users. Just because you can't see a point to something doesn't mean someone else might not find it invaluable.
  2. It's like I said, you need a double layer disc for that image. There's about 15GB of data too much for your single layer (25GB) discs. You can't really expect a disc to work properly when over 1/3rd of it is missing.
  3. You must currently have the 'Output' set to 'Device' rather than 'Image File' - just change it via the menu at the top of the main window.
  4. Cool, glad you got it sorted
  5. When the program warns you something won't fit, don't ignore it You'll need a double layer disc for that image.
  6. I see you've gone for the cheaper LTH version BD-R discs there. If you run into problems with those, consider buying the standard (and unfortunately more expensive) HTL ones instead.
  7. No. Well, not unless you're just backing them up - saving them as actual ISO files on a much bigger disc.
  8. I'm pretty sure it's 4 seconds for LG drives. So if the 'REM FILE-DECODED-SIZE' comes out to anything below 00:04:00 (minutes:seconds:frames) for any of the files, it probably won't accept the CUE sheet. As mentioned above, if you change the 'Write Type' to 'TAO' in the Settings (Write tab), it'll let you burn the CUE sheet as-is. Put it back on DAO/SAO when you're done. But TAO is old school (skool) and a bit rubbish. I'd personally go for joining the 2 mp3's together in something and making a new CUE file where the tracks/questions then line up properly.
  9. There's only 1 way to burn an ISO and it's the easiest thing you can do. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=61
  10. You could burn those little files in track at once (TAO) mode, but not with DAO/SAO. It would have made more sense (and worked!) if the 'a' and 'b' parts were combined into a single file. Plus that way, track 20 would really be track 20 and not have a computer thing saying it's music number 10 or whatever.
  11. Where are you getting all of these tiny Not all drives will burn them (tracks less than 2 seconds long - sometimes even 4 seconds) - yours being one of them. btw, firmware for a drive is nothing to do with drivers. It's the software that runs on your drive (nothing to do with the rest of your computer or Windows in general) and makes it burn (or fail to burn!).
  12. On a brand new disc I hope, not one that had already failed. If it won't burn those discs ('RITEK-BR2-000') without erroring out, try some others. This is purely a problem between the drive, its firmware and the media you're using. ImgBurn is simply telling you the error reported by the drive.
  13. Well, if you read this... http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 you'll notice we only recommend Verbatim discs anyway. So the only MID you should be interested in is the MKM-001-00 one. You should find that MID being used on all 2.4x speed Verbatim DVD+R DL discs (except perhaps some 'value' range ones). It might just be better/easier to buy a new drive? No hardware designed for Windows 7 needs to still be using IDE!
  14. Install the latest firmware for the drive. http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GH22NS70/files.html Copy + paste the contents of a CUE that won't burn please (open it in notepad). p.s. service pack 1 is out for Windows 7.
  15. Your drive is too old to support those discs. Even with the newer BYS6 ( http://www.firmwarehq.com/Sony/DW-D22A/files.html ) firmware installed, it still only supports the following MIDs. DVD+R9 supported media types: 8 ------------------------------------------ CMC MAG D01-000 2.4x INFOME D01-000 2.4x MKM 001-000 6x,4x,2.4x PHILIPS CD2-000 2.4x PRODISC D01-000 2.4x RICOHJPN D00-001 2.4x RITEK D01-001 2.4x RITEK S01-001 2.4x Notice 'MBIPG101-R10-65' isn't on the list.
  16. This happens when a drive doesn't return the subchannel info ImgBurn requests. You should install 2.5.7.0. It won't fix the problem but it gives me additional debug info for it (when enabled).
  17. Try burning at a faster speed. The drive lists 2x, 4x, 6x, 8x, 10x as all being 'supported' speeds. If 2x doesn't work in reality, try one of the others. Service Pack 1 is out for Windows 7.
  18. Please refer to my previous post. Updating wasn't going to fix the issue and I knew that (but it needed doing anyway). Your drive has an issue with the discs you're using.
  19. The checks are done using predefined values (sizes of discs). If your drive reports a lower capacity than the predefined values, that could be why you were having the problem. Also note that sometimes it'll tell you the image can fit on a DVD-R disc. That doesn't mean a DVD+R disc will work too - it might not as they come up slightly smaller.
  20. It's currently piggy backing the 'DVD Video' -> 'Filter Folder Content' option.
  21. For starters, update ImgBurn. There's no reason to be using such an old version. 'VERBAT-IMu-000' is LTH media, you may have more luck with the standard HTL stuff. Yes, LTH is probably a bit cheaper but if your drive doesn't really like it (errors out / burns coasters), it's actually infinitely more expensive!
  22. Well this is a virtualbox issue really and nothing to do with ImgBurn. I can't help because I don't use that program. Don't they have their own forums? Maybe ask on those instead.
  23. Is there some option you need to configure in VirtualBox so it allows raw/direct access to your drive?
  24. Can you post the log please.
