Your OS already has a perfectly decent file browser... it's called 'Explorer'. ImgBurn's build mode is basic by design. It's for burning an existing folder structure on your hdd really, not creating a new one with folder/files from all over the shop. Oh and I can't imagine that it started burning the dvd automatically after adding one folder... that's impossible unless YOU click the 'Write' / 'Build' button.
-
You don't need to burn at 2x, you need to burn at the best speed for your writer... i.e. the one that produces the best quality burn. There's nothing to say that speed isn't faster rather than slower.
-
Try burning at each of the supported speeds - note that 2.4x isn't one of them. If it fails at all of them, read this - http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000

Device Not Ready (Tracking Servo Failure)
LIGHTNING UK! replied to thedp87's topic in ImgBurn Support
Is the firmware on that drive up-to-date? It would appear it doesn't support the discs you're trying to use. -
Why would you stick to using a version that's known to be buggy?! 2.4.2.0 exists for a reason. If this problem isn't just a one off, try burning at the other available speeds. If none of them work, try some better media - Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. If they don't work, try a cleaning disc on the drive. If it still doesn't work then, get yourself a new drive.

For your DVD burner. It'll make it burn better and allow it to support new MID's (discs). Here is a link to the updated firmware file - http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_473-fil...01(EW).zip.html

Use LB analysis tool to automate MDS file writing
LIGHTNING UK! replied to fordman's topic in ImgBurn Suggestions
If the MDS is present and loaded (with a valid LB value), the correct thing is to assume is that the ISO should not be modified. I'm sorry but I won't be changing that. By moving the ISO's LB via the use of a custom MDS file, you're technically 'doing it all wrong'. You should recreate the ISO and have ImgBurn fixup the SPLIP flags etc to match the the new MDS file it'll then create. By recreating the ISO in Build mode you'll also potentially open up a whole load more LB positions that simply weren't available when looking at the ISO as a whole (and where no padding could be applied). -
press the printscreen button on your keyboard and then 'paste' (edit menu -> paste or 'CTRL+V' on the keyboard) into Paint, MS Word etc. This forum isn't to help you with the basics of PC's and Windows, you can use Google for that.

It burnt and verified ok so either your player doesn't like DVD+R at all or it doesn't like the low quality (CMC MAG-M01-00 dye) media you're using. We only recommend Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden discs here. EDIT: Oops, too slow

Do you know how to get a screenshot? Even that would help us to understand what you're seeing.
-
That's probably why. Optical drives do not like being on controllers that are in 'RAID' mode.
-
Google 'upx'. The top result links here -> http://upx.sourceforge.net/

It's very simple... Try burning at all of the supported write speeds and if none of them work, read this: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000

Write error: "Invalid or Unsupported image file format"?
LIGHTNING UK! replied to pstein's topic in ImgBurn Support
Are those files disc images? (HINT: No they're not) If not, you want 'Build' mode, not 'Write' mode. -
1. Update ImgBurn. 2. Why are you burning images in Build mode when you should be using Write mode? 3. If you don't know what you're doing, ask for help or read a guide... don't try and fumble your way through it or you'll end up with lots of coasters. 'URD' doesn't mean anything to anyone. Did you perhaps mean UDF? UDF is a file system (as are ISO9660 and Joliet). An ISO file is a disc image (ISO is a container format) and file systems are used to hold information about the files inside that disc image. So perhaps you could start by telling us exactly what you have that you want to burn and what you want it to be playable on.

I/O Error In change from lead-In, track, and lead-out
LIGHTNING UK! replied to Del_Usion's topic in ImgBurn Support
It's the error codes that are wrong - are you using an NVIDIA controller by any chance? Have you tried resetting the interface back to SPTI? and if that fails, switch to ASPI and use the Nero WNASPI32.DLL. btw, your elbycdio interface is out of date. You should update whichever program you have installed so that you get the latest one. -
How to skip "What would you like to do" ?
LIGHTNING UK! replied to pstein's topic in ImgBurn Support
The 'Ez-Mode Picker' screen is just a 'Mode'. You can change the default/startup/initial one in the settings on the 'Events' tab. Use the 'Mode' menu to switch between them if you need to do something other than burn image files. -
NEC 3550a writes at 4x when set to 2 or 2.4x
LIGHTNING UK! replied to uggitt's topic in ImgBurn Support
Why don't you Google 'CMC MAG-D03-64' before you say that. Unless an earlier version of the firmware for your drive offered different speeds, you're probably out of luck. It might even be the case that 'CMC MAG-D03-64' is an 8x dye but the quality control is so bad that the people who stick their name on them write 2.4x because they think people will have a better chance of getting a working disc at that speed. -
Burning multiple iso files to single dvd
LIGHTNING UK! replied to moonwolf222's topic in ImgBurn Support
An ISO is typically the image for an entire disc. If you want to merge their contents you'll need to get the files out of the ISO's and merge them yourself using whichever tools are appropriate for the content of those ISO's. This isn't something you'd use ImgBurn for. -
Del_Usion, Make your own thread please.

Use LB analysis tool to automate MDS file writing
LIGHTNING UK! replied to fordman's topic in ImgBurn Suggestions
It's always nice to hear about how different people use different bits of the program btw, when you make a new MDS to overwrite an old one, do you load/add the MDS into the 'Create DVD MDS File' window or do you add the actual image file(s)? -
Run memtest+ for a couple of hours/passes.

New install of Windows = ImgBurn can't burn!
LIGHTNING UK! replied to kcfried's topic in ImgBurn Support
nvidia drivers again no doubt. -
Use LB analysis tool to automate MDS file writing
LIGHTNING UK! replied to fordman's topic in ImgBurn Suggestions
Adding the option to copy the value is a possiblity, I wouldn't bother with the other one. Might I ask why you're having to make the MDS anyway? The program automatically makes the MDS file when Reading or Building an image so (assuming you're using ImgBurn in the first place) there shouldn't be any need.
