Bypass Layerbreak in Command Line
LIGHTNING UK! replied to XeonicXpression's topic in ImgBurn Support
Use a custom media size for single layer (done within the GUI) and set it to some large value... then the program will think you're always building discs that'll fit on single layer media and hence never prompt for LB info. -
I guess the burn quality isn't all that great. Try a different speed, the drive might then do a better job.

Another "Device Not Ready (Medium Not Present)"
LIGHTNING UK! replied to bjoseph's topic in ImgBurn Support
Eject the disc and reinsert it. Does the message in the status bar change to something else before then saying no media is present? If so, your drive just doesn't like the discs. Buy different discs or buy a new drive. -
Yeah it was a link to moneybookers or some crap like that - and with a Referral ID attached to it. I have no interest in joining any other company for handling donations.
-
If you got an actual ISO file on the disc that you can see via My Computer you obviously used Build mode and not Write mode - or the original disc was also like that.
-
Of course drives are picky, they're all different and each firmware version is an attempt to improve the situation - for that specific drive. Hell, even different models by the same manufacturer can behave totally differently with the same media.
-
I guess your player just doesn't support DVD video content on a BD disc. The only way around that would be to convert it to BD format and that's not something ImgBurn (nor I) can help you with.
-
DVD Flick uses ImgBurn for burning and Nero will of course use it's own engine for burning and it'll be part of the conversion program. You don't need to make an ISO, you can burn on the fly. It's still done in Build mode but you set the 'Output' to 'Device' rather than 'Image File'.
-
Buy new discs or buy a new drive (assuming the firmware update doesn't fix it), take your pick.
-
You've already tried burning to that disc and it failed. Use a new one.
-
hambone, is this even your thread?! If not, make you own and don't hijack this one. Make sure you do as mmalves said and post the complete log of a failed burn.
-
Post the full log please. Go into the settings and turn off the 'perform opc' option. Put the 'Write Type' back on DAO/SAO.

I'd go with some SATA if I were you. That way you don't need to worry about master / slave or problems when trying to use 2 devices at the same time (that share the same cable). From that list, I've got an AD-7203S and a DVR-216 in my computer if that makes any difference. Samsung wise I have the SH-S223F and LG wise I have the GGW-H20L (but that's a bluray burner). A new LiteOn iHASxxx model is also an option. I have a iHAS120 in my machine at the moment but I'll no doubt update that when the iHAS3xx and iHAS4xx ones are available. -
Update the firmware on your drive too, BCIB is the latest one (and the one you should be running).

Always using Memorex doesn't mean anything. They're a brand name, not a manufacturer. The dye they use for their discs could change every week and your drive/firmware doesn't like the one they're currently using - RITEK-S04-66.

Power Calibration+Unable to Recover TOC

It's nothing to do with the controller. Burning errors come from bad drive/media/firmware combos. The media you're using is good stuff but the ones made in India aren't as good as the other two. If the firmware has been setup for the Singapore stuff, it could indeed have problems with the lower quality stuff from India. So basically what I'd do now if I were you is find some made in Singapore and try those. The proper 2.4x discs with the MKM-001-00 dye works better for some people than the 8x MKM-003-00 ones so try getting some of those instead. If it still can't burn to those I'd just return it under warranty. Just because it burns single layer discs ok doesn't mean it's not faulty. -
The 3rd drive is probably a virtual one or something. Buy yourself a new burner as mmalves said.

Maybe your drive is faulty? Have you tried burning at a faster speed? That stuff is designed for 8x burning. The fact that pioneer allow you to 'overspeed' to 10x probably means they do more testing at 4x, 8x and 10x than at the mega slow speeds. Where are those Verbatims made? Singapore? India? Taiwan? -
That's to be expected if the drive bit finishes instantly.
-
Do the same for that as for the mp4 file then. You can probably do them both at the same time so they end up on 1 dvd, haven't ever used DVD Flick myself so I don't know.
-
Maybe the drive part finished really quickly then and all you had to wait for was the ImgBurn bit.
-
The Wii drive isn't built for reading writable discs at all, using REwritable discs is probably just asking for trouble because they're never as good / readable as write once media.
