  1. DudeBoyz, yep, in theory.
  2. Ahh when I saw 'Reg' I just thought of 'Registry' and assumed it was something nasty - but I guess it was actually 'Region' You probably could have got that from selecting it and seeing which company made it and what it's description said.
  3. linx05, I'd be inclined to remove the RegKill entry. The others are fine though.
  4. The DVD file contains info about the ISO file. Much in the same way an MDS file contains info about an ISO/MDF file, or a CUE file about a BIN file. You burn the .DVD one.
  5. lol it's probably because there aren't any and so it's gets the generic 'none found' text that I copied / pasted from the upper filters area and I then forgot to change the 'upper' to 'lower'! It doesn't mean anything but I'll fix it for the next release. EDIT: Fixed for next release.
  6. It retries errors 20 times and you can change all the same settings for software retries, hardware retries and 'ignore read errors' that you could in DVD Dec. If the error is really bad, you can ignore it and it'll just write zeroes to the sector - as DVD Dec did. There was nothing special in DVD Dec.
  7. Corny, Yup, it needed updating a bit It was still based on the very first version and of course a lot has been added since then. I bet most people don't know what ImgBurn is capable of, hopefully the new text on the website will give them some clues.
  8. Details, downloads etc on the main website. http://www.imgburn.com
  9. Try the 2.1A firmware http://support.necam.com/Optical/downloads...CND350_v21A.exe
  10. Yeah I know... but I don't understand how he got that idea from my previous post?!
  11. Your issue isn't image related or disc related (at least not yet!). The log clearly shows it's a DMA issue of some sorts. Something is corrupting the data as it's read from the drive then passed through the I/O subsystem. As you hinted and dontasciime agreed with, remove the cd burner so the dvd one is the only thing on the cable - and it's at the end of the cable. Board one end, drive at the other.
  12. Ok, now I'm just confused! You said you had losts of small ISO files. I said you need to extract the data from all those ISO files into folders. So you'd install WinRAR (ensure the 'ISO' box is ticked for file associations when you install it), then select your 'Image1.iso', 'Image2.iso', 'Image3.iso' etc in explorer and right click them. You'll see an option called ''extract each archive to seperate folder'. When WinRar has done its thing, you'll have some new folders - 'Image1', 'Image2', 'Image3' etc - all of which will contain whatever was in the ISO file. Then you just drag + drop those folders into 'Build' mode within ImgBurn.
  13. Yes, they'd have been modified with the correct file offsets for the image you'd just built.
  14. Looks like there's an error on that disc and your drive can't read it.
  15. The only way to know for sure is to burn the media you like to use at all the speeds supported by your drive(s) and then test them using DVDInfoPro (PIPO Scan) / CDSpeed (Disc Quality). Do that and then see which gives the best results.
  16. Don't use RITEK DL media, use Verbatims instead. Set the write speed to 2.4x when burning DL discs.
  17. ImgBurn cannot be used to copy films and that's all the information we can tell you on the subject.
  18. Nothing is supposed to happen when you press 'print screen', it just puts an image into the clipboard. That's why I said you needed to 'paste' it into a paint package or into Word. But that's irrelevant now because you've changed your mind and said it's no longer a white button, but instead just greyed out (like it's supposed to be). Greyed out means disabled / not available - as it does with pretty much everything in windows.
  19. There are loads of good ones. It's probably worth taking a look around the internet and seeing what's been working well for people. Sony doesn't really make their own drives, they're rebadged versions of someone elses. I tend to avoid the rebadges and go for the REAL makes. I have the following in my PC at the moment: Plextor PX-760A LG GSA-H22L Pioneer DVR-111 LiteOn LH-18A1H Optiarc AD-7173A BenQ DW1655 I'm happy with all of them.
  20. press the 'print screen' button and paste it into some sort of paint package... or even 'Word'. Then upload it via the 'Add Reply' screen (and not the 'Fast Reply' one).
  21. Any chance of a screenshot? Do you have Windows running in 2 colours or something?!
  22. Oh and don't cancel a burn once it has started! You were lucky test mode was enabled that time or you'd have just made yourself a nice coaster!
  23. yes, mounting + copying is an option, but if this person has loads, that'll take all day! With winrar, it's just 2 clicks and it's all done!
  24. It doesn't matter what they're called, you could call them billybob for all the OS cares! It just sees the entry and runs the command. The name in front of it means nothing. Keep the one with the quotes, remove the other one. Personally I would expect the zonealarm one to the real one. If they call an entry zonelabs, they're limiting themselves as clearly there can be only one with the company name whereas the company may have several products and need to add several entries.
  25. Ok, go and get the latest version of winrar from www.rarsoft.com It's v3.70 beta 3 Once installed, if you select all the ISO's and right click, you should have an 'extract each archive to seperate folder' option on the context menu. Click that and each one will be extracted into a folder of the same name as the iso. move the iso files out of the folder and burn that folder containing all the other folders. get it?!
