  1. Quotes are just there so the long filenames don't get truncated at the space and then the command not work. So being that it installs to 'Program Files' by default, I'd say you want the one with quotes. Of course if they run different exe's (or perhaps same exe with different parameters), you need both!
  2. An ISO is a disc image, you can't burn several of them onto 1 disc. It's 1 disc per ISO. What you could do however is extract the contents of all the ISO's into a folder/some folders and then burn that/those.
  3. UIF appears to be MagicISO's proprietary image file format - as such there are no specs on it available and hence there's no chance in me supporting it.
  4. The thing you select is then the first thing on the 2nd layer. I'd go with VTS_15_0.IFO from your examples.
  5. Yup that's pretty much how it should work. You'll soon be able to tell because either close track or the close disc function will take ages to complete - as it burns the remainder of the disc. btw, you might aswell just use the VTS_02_0.IFO entry - LBA : 1974000 That way, vts_01 finishes on L0 and vts_02 starts on L1 - and all without having to perform any padding.
  6. DVD+R DL supports moving the layerbreak and of course bitsetting. DVD-R DL doesn't do either.
  7. Your 109 can already burn DVD+R/DVD-R double layer discs. Just ensure it's running the latest firmware. http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/content/suppor...t/software.html v1.58 is the latest for the 109. ONLY (and I really can't stress this enough), use Verbatim DVD+R DL media.
  8. Just remember it's potentially excellent in terms of watching it play back and that you won't notice the join! 50/50 is still the best to use for the most 'compatible' disc when reading it back in your player. That said, if you do go for an excellent one (which is good because the whole of VTS_01 is then on the same side), even though it might be 70/30 or whatever, the burner will probably burn rubbish to even the two out when it closes the track / disc. I believe drives just like data on L0 having data opposite it on L1 - it makes it easier to read.
  9. Then that's it. Yes you still need to have selected an LB position. It won't let you click 'Ok' until you do.
  10. Who's that one in your avatar now Altercuno? Looks a bit like Jessica Alba.... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Edit: Checked the pic url, it is her
  11. If you look around the forum, you'll see we laugh in the face of Ritek / CMC DL media and recommend people to use Verbatim DL media (and ONLY Verbatim!!!!). Ok so it's more expensive, but at least it works!
  12. It's only useless if you get failed burns. If you don't, you'd never know the problem ever existed in the first place. As I said before, I'm sorry and it will be (has been) fixed. You're actually coming across as a complete knob btw and we don't appreciate / tollerate those kinds of people on this forum.
  13. ImgBurn can control all the liteon features. It's just the other icon near the 'booktype' one.
  14. In theory, DAEMON Tools and Alcohol 120% should have very similar virtual drive drivers. I know loads of people using DT without any issues when verifying - myself included.
  15. Burning CD's?! You're not burning CD's, you're burning DVD's - are you not? Please post your log so we can see what's going on. Oh and copy + paste everything from the info panel on the right when you have your blank disc in the drive.
  16. Happy Birthday! If what they say is true, your life begins today
  17. That error is from READING the file that's on your HDD, not burning. So the issue here is with your hard drive and it's setup. That said, your discs are still awful. Try following the post in the FAQ about fixing DMA issues. I'd also give the hdd the once over with chkdsk and check there are no errors. Have chkdsk scan for bad sectors by using the /R switch. i.e. run the following from a command prompt window: chkdsk f: /F /R /X
  18. oooohh pretty red colours! lol ... and that, people, is why we tell you not to use CMC discs!
  19. You'd have to ask that question over at the alcohol forum. ImgBurn doesn't have problems with anything so long as it doesn't mess up basic communication to the drive! If 3rd party apps install drivers (ImgBurn does not) and those drivers mess things up, there's no way for anyone to know. It's just a case of getting the machine back to the stage when it DID work and then perhaps installing normal software until it doesn't - perhaps that's what you did anyway?
  20. No it doesn't matter what you're burning. It also doesn't matter if you create the image first or burn on-the-fly, the exact same data is sent to the drive. It just looks to me as if your drive is having mega issues with those discs. In case you've got a dodgy batch of verbatims, perhaps you could buy another lot? You'll use them eventually anyway - right?! If a new batch still won't burn, there must be something up with your drive. As they're only about ?25 now, it's probably cheaper to just buy a new one than it is to keep wasting DL discs!
  21. LIGHTNING UK! is my real name, honest! EDIT: Thanks for the donation btw
  22. The error you're getting there is more of an OS one than a drive one. I'd go for an uninstall of the IDE controller as per the DMA post in the FAQ. Check for updated motherboard BIOS / chipset drivers / IDE drivers etc. You could also check the cable to the drive is ok and that it's properly configured as master / slave and not on that 'cable select' setting. Is the drive on the proper chipset internal IDE port and not on a 3rd party chipset / PCI IDE controller?
  23. If you drop a folder, that folder will exist in the root of the new image/disc - UNLESS it's the only one you drop and you tell ImgBurn that the folder should be the root - i.e. only that folders content is visible on the disc, not the folder itself. So you can drop C:\Data\Movies\Store\Barney and C:\Data\Movies\Angelina and you'll end up with \Barney and \Angelina
  24. I burnt my first one of the US ones with the LG Blu-ray burner... I was very happy with the result (It's in the Drives & Media forum if you're interested)
  25. I believe the 112 is/should be available now (if not very soon).
