i think DB is writing episodes for Dr Who , and wanted to make a current topic episode :football: + :doctor: = next saturdays episode

  1. to answer your question regarding " how does Imgburn produce better burns than other apps "

its because its being constantly updated , theres a lesser chance of a bad burn than most other burning softwares ( to namely Nero, <spit>) .

for this reason alone, its more advanced than DVDD was .

lets not forget ImgBurn will happily do dual layer discs, whereas DVDD ended whilst Dual layer was in its infancy .

as soon as any kind of bug is found (which is fairly rarely) its corrected and tested thoroughly , then if need be a new version is released

software like Nero likes you to pay for its "new updated version" then you have to find all the bugs for them ,and waste your discs in the process :o

i think you will find its the majority of beta team and general users who state "it gives better burns than DVDD did "

also, you get the use of this support forum, where your questions are answered very quickly if you poat witha problem , unlike Nero

  2. We had a World Cup draft at work today, picking teams to make it out of their respective groups etc. I ended up with Brazil, France, Portugal & "drum roll please" Poland! I like their hooligans

kin hell ! ! ! if it wasnt for bad luck you'd have no luck at all then

you strike me as the kind of guy who had a tenner on shergar in 1982..................... a tenner that he would go missing =))

Oh, and, here I had my heart set on this year being the one where a team that did not make the finals would storm the stadium, kick the crap out of the other two teams, and declare victory by proxy.

was you thinking of those dirty basts called Italy ? , well the "kick the crap out of teams " part anyway. oops my mistake , you didnt mean in a normal game

:happybday: Lfc for saturday, hope you get that pissed you dont remember anything about it

then we can savour the pictures afterwards

  3. ... (i know read to ISO can't be added but we can always use dvd decrypter for that) :)

I can't see what the problem is in having read to ISO only for un-protected DVD's. I would like to see the read to ISO feature added to ImgBurn.

a little matter of copywrite comes to mind :o

  4. if your using version 1.3.0.0 ( which you should be as its the latest version ),

goto TOOLS>SETTINGS>EVENTS and check the "SAVE THE LOG" box , and UNCHECK the "OVERWRITE EXISTING" box .

this will allow you to automatically save all the logs you create . to view a previous log file, goto the view button and make sure theres a check againts "View Log" , this will display the main log window, and from there you can view previous logs by clicking FILE>OPEN.

if you didnt already have the SAVE THE LOG checked , now is a good time to do it whilst your having these problems .

ideally ,next time you try a burn on DL. post the main log file for us

  5. fucking eh  and with an Irish name as Irish as it gets why does some bastard call up around election time and try to talk to me in anything other than English to support some dickweed politician

Tut , the British Labour party will phone anywhere in the world if they think they can get another vote !

  6. I've seen a few drives that don't work on DVD but CD still works, they've all been broken and a new drive has not had the same issues.

sounds exactly the same as a PS2 when its on the way out , will play cd but not dvd , and also the other way round . Thats usually the laser thats burnt out .

at least a drive is cheaper than a PS2
