  1. Maybe the last firmware update will help. Try again after install it. Remove any disc from the drive and close the tray before attempt to update the firmware. http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1469-file_TS-L632H_FW_D700.zip.html Cleaning the drive lens may also help.
  2. I'm not realy sure about what file specific discs as rescue or live systems needs. I'm pretty sure the boot image is the same on CD and DVD as I tinkered with slipstreaming XP and lately with all the updates it will not fit on a regular CD so it needs a DVD and is no problem to boot from the DVD. RVM Integrator, the program I use to integrate the XP Post-SP3 updates uses his internal boot image to make the disc bootable and is .img. I think the file type could be .ima or .img (or even .bin) as long as it contain the proper boot code.
  3. You mean the BootImage.ima ? http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=11190
  4. ImgBurn is a burning tool it does not do integration. If you are following the guide for Slipstream SP3 in Windows XP take your time and verify not to miss something on your side.
  5. You have to try it. Technicaly it's better than USB 2.0 (~3x faster).
  6. It's not too late. The logs are saved automaticaly. You can find old saved logs via Help menu. In the pink box program's log is a link, click on it.
  7. Post the full log. If you closed it by now, you can find old saved logs via Help menu.
  8. Wish you a great
  9. ImgBurn is a burning tool for optical media and will not alow you to "burn" to removable media whatever you think. Please read the pink banner from top.
  10. You cut out the first part of the log (don't do that) so this may be a shoot in the dark. If you are running Windows XP make sure you have SP3 installed and up to date patches. Update motherboard chipset/storage drivers for your motherboard. This site may help. http://www.ma-config.com/en Alternatively you can mount (in place of the old combo drive) the drive from the enclosure into the computer but that leaves you without the mobility of the drive.
  11. There is no "magic way" to "correctly" burn a specific type of iso to disc. It's the one and only "Write image file to disc" Please read the pink banner at the top.
  12. Just let the program do that. Don't worry, it knows what's appropriate.
  13. Look in the Guides section.
  14. Happy Birthay! Sorry for late, db
  15. ImgBurn will burn your files as is. If you want to play it on stand alone DVD player, you need to prepare the files with an authoring tool. You can use DVDFlick or DVDStyler to convert the avi to a standard DVD Video strucure than burn the result with ImgBurn.
  16. Registration key for what? ImgBurn is a free program and don't require registration. If you want to donate to express your gratitude to developer feel free to do it.
  17. If the burn and verify was succesfull than is out of our hands. Read the pink box above and post a log.
  18. You do realize that this is more than 6 year old thread, yeah?
  19. Maybe a screenshot will tell more... Can you provide one?
  20. The semaphore timeout period is the problem of external drives (not enough power to operate). Take it out from the enclosure and mount it in the computer or try other ports from the back of the motherboard avoiding front panel or other extensions. (!) Please don't start multiple threads on the same problem, use the Edit button.
  21. In Build mode point the source to root of the drive with the disc inserted and set destination to image file.
  22. I don't know what "playback option" your player need. It should just start and play the disc if it is correctly authored. How do you play it on computer? I see it is associated with VLC. Double click on VIDEO_TS.IFO file, it should play in VLC if not is an authoring problem. Did you verified the burn? Post a log as per the pink box above. You could try DVD Flick or DVD Styler instead of DeVeDe to see if it works better.

  24. Your drive can only burn at those speeds on that media, regardles of what you want. As you said you already tried 2x, 4x, 10x, 14x that means actualy the drive used 8x and probably 16x as the program sets the closest speed to what you select when it not match. So, try one at 24x and if it not produce a good burn you have to try other media or get back to what you know it works.
  25. Windows is out of date too. You should update to SP1.
