  1. You have no reason to do such noise. Did you read the pink box above before you posted? No one will give you out, just be reasonable and describe your problem and we will try to help.
  2. Ha ha, curious. What math do you use? p.s. As for the stars, just let them where just necessary not all over, we will now though why you put them anyway.
  3. Didn't I told you? Happily use it ever after.
  4. I'll rather use a 4GB USB stick/memory card. It's quick and free of scratches and error problem.
  5. This CMC is all I can get here on Maxell and Memorex LightScribe's. I had sometime TDK's but can't remenber what dye used, that time I didn't care about. Can't say about reliability in time either as I just give them to others. Some weddings and baptismal footage. Try find a firmware update for your mother's DVD player.

Whatever you did, you got to have a VIDEO_TS folder with a set of .ifo .bup .vob files in it, otherwise it won't work. Read the guide of the program you use. The size of each of the biggest files will be max. 1GB (1023,9 MB) in order to comply with the standard. Here is the guide to burn that set of files http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=4632
  7. Your drive is old and most probably don't support the new media, 2.4x is the only speed supported hence the misscompare... Here are some things you can try http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  8. Update ImgBurn to current version and go to any mode, rightclick on the drive or go to Tools menu and select Capabilities, there you will see the exact firmware version, if it has or not -09 sufix. Update latest chipset/controler drivers on your motherboard.

    Try DVD Flick or DVDStyler
  10. Try 4x it might get to the end succesfuly. Are you sure you are using the latest firmware 1.00-09 http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/BH10LS30/files.html You should post the full log.
  11. Hope not late to party
  12. Update the firmware and try again http://www.firmwarehq.com/Optiarc/BC-5500S/files.html Use high quality disc from Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. You should take in consideration upgrading Vista to SP2, it's long time that is out.
  13. Try the other speeds too. Cleaning the drive lens with a cleaning disc or manual might help.
  14. It's not about cleaning the hard drive, it's the laser lens from the burner probably get dirty/dusty. Use a lens cleaning disc or open the drive and clean it manualy with alcohol and softcloth/cotton bud if you know how.
  15. Could you try that drive in another computer to rule out your system config?
  16. Update ImgBurn to current version. Post a log as the pink box above instructs.
  17. Try to burn at other speed if available. A lens cleaning disc might help in that drive. Post a log as the pink box above instructs.
  18. In the EZ-Picker mode (the main menu as you say) there is no active drive. You need to be in a any other mode than EZ.
  19. Open the LightScribe Control Panel from Sys Tray (or Program Files\Common Files\LightScribe), there you'll find the Contrast settings, select: This will make your labels darker,... For text I always use the Field\Custom field, the properties are Alignment to Center and tick Fixed Size. Than if I want another field with the same layout font, simply duplicate the field and edit the text. Hope that helps.
  20. Did you used the Enhanced contrast mode and the Best option for quality? It will take longer to print it but the result is much better. The Maxell discs I have uses the same CMC dye but I never had problems burning them with my ASUS DRW-2014L1 1.01 I edit the images for label use in a photo editor, cut out what I need than make them B&W and increase the contrast, make an outline to the object and save them as transparent gif. The secret for a good Lightscribe label is to use high contrast images becouse it uses only black and gray tones to represent the colours.
  21. Make sure at least to be other than RITEK if possible.
  22. How about puting ImgBurn in Read mode, right click on drive and choose Capabilities...
  23. No need to make a new thread, if the problem is the same. Read and follow this http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  24. Play it on computer and look for the the resolution. 720x576 is PAL. 720x480 is NTSC. The movie can be converted from one system to other, but not worth the time and efort put into it, not to mention you need some authoring programs and some knowledge. Google can help you.
