  1. Each to his own. Regards
  2. Here's a link - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2302 Regards
  3. In theory, the LB should be at an ECC boundary - that's where the multiple of 16 comes in. However, who knows how studios master their DVDs these days! I have seen some shockers recently that are obviously out of spec but released on an unsuspecting public. If you have a direct ISO copy of what's on the source, then there's nothing you can do (if you want a direct ISO to burn methodology) - except be happy that ImgBurn has adjusted the L0 zone for you. In the future, I'd start off by having files, not an ISO. Regards
  4. You ask how to watch an image. Mount it in daemon tools and open the DVD package in any popular software player. Not sure I'd be using Roxio as my image builder. More inclined to run with ImgBurn's built in app. You've been warned about the G05s - they were the downfall of Ritek. Go with Yudens or Verbatims. Regards
  5. Set Eject tray after erase in the Device tab of the Settings. Regards
  6. @LFC Probably his player chokes on all region DVDs. He needs a player hack. Regards
  7. Yeah, try a seamless layerbreak, sometime into act 2. Use DVD Remake Pro to split cells at a pleasing point to you. There is absolutely no correlation of sectors to time, since video is done on VBR and not constant Q and there are several audio and subpicture tracks muxed in. Regards
  8. Those Ritek media have taken a swan dive in the last year - quality is quite variable now. This is especially true of the G05 media code. You can tell if it PAL or NTSC easily. Open the DVD in PgcEdit, right click on the main movie and select Domain Stream Attributes. I strongly doubt you'd have a PAL/NTSC issue if the DVD is sourced locally. Regards
  9. I think those MKM-001s are, in fact, rated at 2.4x. That's what I burn them at. Regards
  10. AFAIK, build is to a device (drive) or to an ISO in any folder on any hard drive you have. What I am puzzled at is why we get so many queries and suggestions about emulating Ner0. If people have Ner0 and are happy with its GUI, why don't they use it? Regards
  11. The MD5s did match (device vs image). If you look at the version history, it explains the padded MD5. Regards
  12. Just media wars between big comanies looking for market share, that's all. Regards
  13. We are not the Ner0 help line. But if you have DVD files, just use the build mode in ImgBurn (it will make sure the folders are there for you). See our guides section. Regards
  14. Don't suppose you've considered lowering the burn speed? Seems you drive is erroring out at the edges. Perhaps the media is a bad batch or something has happened to it. Try burning slower (4x). Regards
  15. Does it look OK in a software player? If so, then just burn it. Regards
  16. Try to get away from budget brands. If you see the bit I quoted in my previous post, it is pretty easy to see they are TDKs. LFC is right though - we say it 100 times a day. Use Verbatims (MCC dye) or Taiyo Yudens only. Regards
  17. Seems like they are TDKs LFC. Perhaps fake. Regards
  18. Yes, and you should be getting BSODs/spontaneous restarts etc if your memory is duff. How doers it go in safe mode? Have you done a virus/spyware scan lately? Regards
  19. There is none. There is nothing in the spec that says you can't write less than 1Gb on a DVD and not be a DVD-Video, AFAIK. Regards
  20. Can you post a log please? Find it in the help menu. What player and media are you using? Regards
  21. Does this happen in safe mode? Regards
  22. Just how much longer does it take to burn with WOPC on? Or is it just a gimmick that does no good? I have seen scans that show WOPC to be a good thing, esp for high speed writes or with low quality media. Regards
  23. There is just no need to pad your write to 1Gb is all I am saying. @Oily - thanks (fixed yer car yet? ) Regards
  24. That ID field is really only good for +R disks. It is not always filled with readable material on -Rs. And I'd check DMA and definintely update that firmware Regards
