Does ImgBurn write VIDEO_TS files in correct order?
blutach replied to Wile_E's topic in ImgBurn General
Yes. The order of files is perfect. Yes, you can add DVD ROM files to the parent directory of VIDEO_TS. If anyone is at all unsure, make an ISO with ImgBurn and use ISOBuster to examine it. Here's a simple example: Regards -
I can vouch for Alex Noe's little utility. It is just what the doctor ordered for LG drives. Regards
-
You didn't "back these up" - you illegally copied DVDs you didn't own. This forum and its owner LUK can be put in enormous legal problems by giving you advice about backing up DVDs - even ones you do own. But please, have some respect for LUK and the law. Regards
-
You scanned for visruses? Spyware? Tried a system restore? Regards
-
You have your opinion. I have mine. I know enough about IFO files to not have to go further with this fruitless conversation. Where's that bloody ignore button LUK? There is truly no-one so ignorant as someone who doesn't want to learn. Have fun with those 35 seconds calweycn. Regards

Yes, SLB is something new and great to have. I am fortunate enough to have all my players being happy with it, too. We have jamoskeag3 to thank for kicking off a very stimulating discussion and research at doom9 on this topic. But, as you mentioned, it is against spec and therefore merits a warning in both PgcEdit and ImgBurn. Regards
-
calweycn - put simply, you're incorrect. Read my last post. You go ahead and don't worry about your IFOs. The rest us will, quite rightly, be concerned about them. Regards
-
Just speculating, Could this have something to do with the filesystem made by the playstation? Check 053008 here. Regards

Nice pic milf! And volvo Regards
-
Which makes for an incorrect verification. The IFOs are the lifeblood of your DVD's navigation and command structure. Those "few bits" are precious to me. But 35 seconds of my life is not. Regards
-
It's just plain nasty! Why anyone would pay to have a low level driver sitting permanently there, changing your data without your knowledge, is totally beyond me. I think people feel that because they have paid for something, they better have it "on" 24/7. Regards
-
Well done life (or is it mill???) Regards

And corny, thank you for making it easy to donate. We should all click on your sig! Regards

Can I ask who lfcrules is and if he is related to lfcrule1972? Clearly, we have plenty of misguided Scousers around. Regards

It's one measure of memory speed. Regards

All DVD players parse UDF. You can get ridda ISO9660 - it was for W95. Regards
-
FWIW: A106 is the latestet firmware for that drive. I don't have a 64 partition but it sounds like that might be the issue. Regards

jinjin_jp's thread at doom9 is excellent reading on this, where you explain the writer woud actually have to skip sectors. @alal - see here. Regards

ImgBurn 2 shortcoming with sector correction in IFO
blutach replied to fordman's topic in ImgBurn Support
Sorry, I should have made myself more clear. You are obviously correct and in the padded IFOs I have seen, all the BUPs were also padded. It's not your risk fordman, and I for one am not prepared to discuss IFO manipulation on this forum (and I don't think you are suggesting we do that either). Most people know where I hang out (doom9 and digital digest) and you can talk freely with me and other more knowledgable people there. I look forward to it. Regards -
It's the structure of the -R disk and the way it is put together and what that means in terms of actually not knowing precisely what sectors a LB can be put on (even the size varies believe it or not). Don't take the cellophane off!! Go back to the store and exchange it for a +R. I can not advise strongly enough about this. More reading - see the technical discussion here (at the end). Regards

ImgBurn 2 shortcoming with sector correction in IFO
blutach replied to fordman's topic in ImgBurn Support
Padding at the end of the IFO can not do too much damage, I wouldn't think, even if it started off as a protected DVD. Of course, they can be placed anywhere in the IFO, but if they are "in order" the final table will be the VOBU address map. Which is defined to end after a number of entries. Anything after that can be random bits of fluff as far as the player is concerned, if I am correct. Just so long as the file length is reported correctly. Take off the padding vs keep it there - I really don't think it matters all that much. But, except to the extent that this was a burning problem (and it started off that way), this forum is not to talk about IFO structures. We can do that elsewhere, without risking getting LUK! into trouble Regards -
Maybe we should take over Ner0 - give it half a chance of being a good program Regards
-
Crap. Ner0 can make an image file - it calls it an NRG file. ImgBurn is not a ripper. Ripping involves decrypting. Unencrypted files can be copied in Window$ Exporer, too. Is Micro$oft also subject to "legal issues"? Get real and put brain into gear. Regards
