  1. PgcEdit uses the famous mkisofs engine also used by ImgToolsClassic. Just use it. Never lets you down. Regards
  2. I still laugh when I see people trying to do false economy and throwing away $4 on Riteks instead of "investing" $8 in Verbatims. What is it that they say about paying peanuts? Regards
  3. Slight typo? L0 > L1 And I'm wondering where all these PTP writables are, too - I haven't seen any on the market. In any event pennyman, it would be impossible to have even the semblence of a seamless break in a PTP - it would be many times worse than in the regular OTP disks. Regards
  4. PgcEdit or ImgToolsClassic (both use mkisofs engine) Regards
  5. LOL. Helpful??? Note, it makes an ISO and not an accompanying MDS and passes LB info on to IB. This has not been a problem for burning in the past. Regards
  6. PgcEdit uses the same engine (mkisofs) as ImgToolClassic - which IMHO has always been the best way to go. PgcEdit enables you to leave 32k gaps between small titlesets, which can be a benefit if the IFO gets damaged. Regards
  7. Thanks for that LUK! When we were testing PgcEdit's ISO making, we wondered what was in the MDS file - as your advice was to select it in preference to the ISO - and how we might create an MDS from PgcEdit. In practice, the absence of an MDS has not been a bad thing for both SL and DL burns (at least for me). What exactly is in it, if I may ask? Regards
  8. I thought you could make an MDS from an ISO by using the old prog and IB? Regards
  9. NOt that I know of. But the PTPs will come in real handy for burning DL PS2 games because IIRC these are PTP disks. BTW: What disks have you got? Regards

For future ref: There's a data recovery prog called Spinrite by Steve Gibson. Never used it - thankfully, never had to. Anyway, glad you got things resolved matey. Regards
  11. volvo! Are ye sick man? I can read everything you wrote! Regards
  12. Does that mean you won't be hosting any more of my porn Shamus? Regards
  13. Just curious Babbit - why have you not tried +Rs. I have several burns on Verbatim DL +R, all of them perfect. Can FF and rewind thru the LB. Setting the LB where you want to is easy with +R. And you can set the booktype. I really think this is the better format. Regards

Hiya volvo mate. Been a little while. Sounds like the data is real important. In this case, you might like to take the drive to a professional to extract whatever data might be on it. Regards
