  1. Thanks for the feedback. Regards
  2. You update the firmware because the manufacturer often determines a better way to write to that media. It is a seamless thing to do - don't worry, we have all done it dozens of times before. Just make sure there's no blanks in the drive and the drive is connected as Master. Reboot afterwards. It'll take next to no time. Having said that, you may have some bad media or there's something wrong with the drive. Regards
  3. G'day to you! Possibly in the SPTD driver. See their changelog. Regards
  4. I use 4.03 and it is fine. I seem to recollect some issues with 4.12 Regards
  5. The booktype can't be changed until the disc is burned. Regards
  6. You sure you didn't post in the wrong window? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Regards
  7. Well, your drive can't read back what it just wrote. This is not a good sign. Does the disk play / can you read it in another drive? Maybe your drive is on the way out. Check the usual suspects - cabling, cleaning disc etc. Regards
  8. Never said you were. And gee, thanks for the info on the MDS's filesize. I'll just retire to the corner while all the smarty pants on the net teach me what it's all about. Regards
  9. To be fair to you, it was a reasonably long changelog Regards
  10. I'd try the lot. Regards
  11. And we dont need to know you are burning illegally downloaded DVDs either. Regards
  12. Delete the controller and reboot. Please see the FAQ. Regards
  13. That is strange, yes. The registry key HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Enum/IDE/CDRom(name and ID of drive) should contain all the filters. You might check it. Regards
  14. FGS!!!! Where is it that we say we are Ner0's helpline? More and more I see crap about "help me with Ner0". Folks, this is the ImgBurn Forum - we are not Ner0. Cos they have a shithouse product, with even worse support, doesn't mean you should come here and ask us. They have enough money to support their own product. We'll tell you this though. Do as we have done. Throw the piece of shit called Ner0 out!! Uninstall it with the clean tool and use ImgBurn (which is totally free, has a tiny footprint (<2Mb) and is the app we support!!!). Regards
  15. Change this crap for Verbatim, +R, 2.4x, MKM-001-00, Made in Singapore And update your firmware, as cynthia says. Regards
  16. If you look at his thread on D9, there doesn't appear to be a real problem in respect of burn speed. Plus juandan, you should update to ImgBurn 2.4.1.0. Regards
  17. That's what I thought. Perhaps I inserted the disc afterwards. Should have tried to reproduce it and reported it. Still, I was certain I had a disc in. Regards
  18. So, what's the problem? Regards
  19. Actually, I had a DVD that was 500kb oversized the other day. I had a DVD+R in the drive, but that screen showed minimum requirements of DVD-R and 6Mb "in hand". It only occurred to me that something wasn't right since I knew the approx size was 4483Mb. I don't think this is a bug, rather it is the difference between the calc button and the info screen but it sure was confusing. Regards
  20. I think I saw that somewhere weisborg. Oh yeah, it was in Ner0. You get that, along with another 1Gb of wasted crap if you use it. Regards
  21. Yes. You should have an upper filter called redbook and a lower one called imapi. These are straight from the XP load. Someone more skilled than I in filter management will come along and help you get them reinstalled. Regards
  22. That'll ensure you a "card" from us every year Regards
  23. You can use whatever interface you like - SPTI is the default and should work on everything. Some people with AnyDVD installed use ElbyCDIO. Older systems will require ASPI. Post your filter driver load order from the tools menu. Regards
