What exactly do you download from their site or do they just give you links on where to download stuff? And as for the critics, there are many, many happy customers and I am selling the guide and support
not the software. There are many customers that tell me they knew that the software was available for free
but decided to buy my product so they would have support.

Info pane to the right lists write speed of media currently in drive.
I know. That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the Write Speed dropdown menu which lists speeds which make no sense at all.
The available write speeds in the drop down list are from BD through CD. Of course you aren't going to burn a DVD at 32X or higher...those speeds are there for the other types of media.

Phone up the person in the next cubicle and ask politely to insert some blank media.....right side up of course

If you are concerned about quality then take a look at DVD Rebuilder. As far as compatable with Imgburn, Imgburn will burn just about anything you throw at it...so yes is the answer.

You should be able to watch the 780/1080 mkv and you can convert it with DVD Flick to watch on your big TV.
-
You are also using -R DL media.....not recommended.

I bought it off of eBay, didn't know it was that old
ImgBurn is free...always has been and always will be. I'd try to get my money back.

could it be that i got a bad batch of Memorex media???
That is why we only suggest Verbatim, they are more consistent and reliable. If you want to continue to use Memorex you will continue to struggle.

Not if they are copy protected.

Your media is at fault....we only recommend Verbatim for DL projects
-
We should also take the time to post the scanning results of all that media we test. It's sad it's not posted in the forum.

I 23:55:24 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: RITEK-S04-66) (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x)
Your Memorex discs are rubbish. We only suggest Verbatim for DL projects. You may have had success with them in the past, but now you are seeing the inconsistency and incompatibility that plague the Memorex brand.
