Wait, what about Midnight? Is that not the final episode for this season? TV.COM lists it as the finale. Okay, never mind. Checked TV.COM again and they've added 3 more episodes to the list since I last checked. Fuckers. Anyway, I'd heard a few Davros rumors, too.

Now, if I remember correctly, Doctor Who is taking a sabbatical for 2009 and won't be back until 2010, right? And, also if I remember correctly, this Saturday's episode is what we Yanks call a season finale. (To us, a series finale means the very last episode ever of a show.) Which as I once commented is odd that a season finale for Doctor Who is a singular episode. It's been two or 3 parter thus far. Hopefully, if rumors persist, one episode is big enough for the Daleks and explain what Rose is doing. Speaking of Rose being able to escape the parallel world. If that's the case, then, there's always the chance the Cybermen could return. I had said they could never show up again because they closed off the parallel world. But, I forgot about Rose showing up this season.

http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/14371.cfm "No doubt what will attract the most attention, and is certainly the most amusing aspect of the paper, is that 3 laser printers and a wireless access point were the targets of a combined 13 takedown notices. In each case, as well as 5 more where a desktop computer was alleged to have illegally shared files, it was due to intentional misdirection on the part of researchers who wrote "The potential for false positives and implication of arbitrary addresses undermines the credibility of monitoring and creates a significant inconvenience for misidentified users (if not financial and/or legal penalties).""

Speaking of The Poison Sky, was that Rose briefly seen on the TARDIS video console in between when the Doctor is talking with Donna inside the TARDIS?

Already checked IMDB. Unfortunately, that just provides too much information. I didn't sift through that list, even though I already found it, because it most likely does not contain the info I'm looking for. Information overload. But, I'll be fucking goddamned. It's naturally there, of course. WAY down the list, someone actually FINALLY uses a title. They were simply called Special Editions. But, it could have been a lot simpler by just listing the titles in the other titles list that IMDB offers. And, naturally, they listed nothing there.

Back in 1997, I think it was, they started re-releasing the original 3 Star Wars movies with new special effects. There was some kind of title addition to the names to reflect this. Extended Version, something. Anyone remember what these movies were called to distinguish them from the untouched (And, IMO, preferable versions) versions? Thanks!

Yeah, I came by to recant my statement. HOWEVER, in my defense, the Copy and Move for folders WASN'T working and DIDN'T return until after a reboot. So, I still call that unnecessary. "Why, if a basic function doesn't work, just reboot!" should NOT be a motto.
-
Also something else to bitch about that Vista changed to make tasks more difficult than before. The Copy and Move commands in the Edit menu don't work on folders. Only on files.
-
I don't have a need of them games as of yet. Mostly for my movie collection. I'd rather spend few extra duckets than take the time to compress/delete streams, etc. ImgBurn does a great job on episodic DVD's. Knows where to put layer breaks: between episodes.

It's interesting how this season's finale appears to be a one part episode, and not a multi-parter as has been done in the past. Anyway, it was nice to see the Sontarans back in action. SONTAR HA!

I am very pleased with the Verbatims I got off of Newegg. Out of 120 total I burned, 119 completed and verified. The one sole loner burned to 87% and failed for some read time out, I forget which. That's a 99.2% success rate. Can't argue with results that.
-
No, it's not quite the same thing I was looking for. That's a pull down menu. It works but it is not as handy as having a button there on a toolbar.
-
Actually, I can still bitch about the fact that the old Toolbar you could add Move and Copy to was removed!

Before SP1 was installed I had several issues. The views changing from what you want it to show to something completely different, I never had after installing SP1. Also to assign all folders the same view is possible in Vista. I had a lot of other issues as the Internet connection to stop working after 18-24 hours so I always needed to restart the computer after that time. With SP1 no such problems any more. So I like Vista SP1. Yeah, I have some weird Internet connection issues post SP 1. For whatever reason, my connection dies every Sunday and will only reconnect after a reboot. Weird. I HAD liked Vista SP 1. It HAD fixed the randomized changing of my Desktop, Wallpaper, and Themes, but a post SP 1 update broke it again. Which actually makes little sense since SP 1 addressed no issues at all. It just collected all existing updates from the year since Vista's release.

So, I can't fault Vista for not having that option. I CAN fault it for turning it off and disabling it when I had it turned on when upgrading XP.
-
Never mind, I do know where that is! I had an old shortcut to Folder Options from Control Panel back in XP. And that had the Views, etc. options.
-
I'm sorry, I don't know where that option is.
-
No, not quite what I'm looking for. More in line with what Cynthia showed.
-
No, but, if Vista does have that, 1.) it suffices and 2.) ain't present in my setup. So, Cynthia, tell me how I can get it.
-
I should have been a bit clearer. I'm not talking about user created Toolbars but the Toolbars that used to be attached to Windows Explorer. Contained the Copy and Move commands, along with others.
-
I would highly recommend not switching to the Gold version, then. Back with ME, I tried a beta or release candidate, forget which, and I liked what it had on display. Imagine my surprise when the Gold version was as bad as it was.
-
Well, the best way I can answer that is by saying, yes, it is. Vista was released not ready for prime time and bundled with DRM schemes that just made it more difficult for those playing by the rules. The biggest Vista killer, though, is how it appears that Microsoft intentionally designed it to make the user have to do more steps than in XP to get the same task accomplished. For instance, gone are the toolbars. Gone are things like Move for a file. Did you know there's not even a rename function for tasks in Task Scheduler? You must delete the existing task, import the XML file, and give it a new name. Vista randomly assigns Views to folders so you never know what exact View you're going to get when you revisit a folder. There's not even an apparent way to assign all folders the same view as there was in XP, a real time saver.

Actually, another bug makes most of this irrelevant. If the screen saver stays on too long if the option to show the log on screen is set, all you get is a black screen. You have to power off.
-
Looks like it. Couldn't find such an entry by searching for it, oddly enough. Had to manually find it.
-
Is there anyway to automate setting which screen saver, setting it on, and setting how long to wait before the screen saver activates? I need something, if it exists, because of a latest bug in Vista. SP 1 fixed the problem of the Desktop/Theme randomly being changed, but, post SP 1, a Vista update broke it again. So, every time I restart, the Desktop/Theme is changed, along with the screen saver. Now, of course, in their fucking brilliance, Microsoft makes it so this error changes the screen saver, but the screen saver is not included as part of the Theme information.
