No I don't think it will. I have a Panasonic DVD?RW/Ram recorder under the telly (very pleased with it too) and the RAM discs look completely different to normal DVD?R's. They are gold and kinda have square dots on the back of them. Once recorded on they will not playback on the PC BenQ drive as it does not support RAM reading, however my Pioneer DVR-111 does read them just fine. So short answer no I don't believe you can trick the recorder into using other discs altho you might want to Google for a hack to do this. Finally the RAM discs seem to hold up better to constant re-writing than DVD?RW's so in that sense they are worth the money. Don't forget that you can get them at www.svp.co.uk for usually a lot less than in the high street

My advice (and already given by others above) - Ditch the drive, I think its knackered and the amount of errors seems to back this up AND get decent media, Verbatim MCC dye or Taiyo Yuden discs.

Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x are about the best you can get, there are Verb DL's with a higher speed but personally I would try and get the 2.4x ones
