I looked at a 360 but when you add in the price of the HD-DVD player (to make it roughly comparable with the PS3) I couldn't see much of a price advantage. Yeah it does have more games out now as its been out for months compared to the PS3 but I have been Sony since the PS so will probably stick with them. The way I see it most games are now multi platform so that decision is not so crucial, I know each has their own "unique" titles so I guess that may sway it in the end.

I am holding onto my ?'s for now as, i) I can't see any truly great games around for the PS3 yet ii) I want to see how Sony gets on with the bastardised emulation software in the European PS3's before I leap in. iii) There is nearly always a price cut after an initial period of high sales cos the console is new. Once the lull sets in Sony will want to keep it in the news and selling upto Christmas.

If you have a spare 360 that would be good !! Seriously tho you may want to point out where in the world you are as it might help people decide if a trade is possible, I don't know for instance if XBox360 games are PAL/NTSC formatted. Good luck

Mmm are they actually DVD+RW (rewritables) or are they DVD+R discs with a small silver and black RW symbol on them ? I have noticed before that some of my DVD+R's, which write once, have the small RW symbol on them away from the main disc name etc. It could be quite confusing..... Easiest way to confirm is to look at the box or spindle they came in

No worries, thanks for coming back to us - we all found out a while ago that Nero just displays the speed you request rather than the actual burn speed. Another way to look at it is that ImgBurn is honest and reports exactly what is going on !

Mmm I think that you just had a batch of bad quality DL's, I am sure you have seen how many times we recommend Verbatim DVD+R DL's and it's for these reasons. 8 crap burns and then 3 good ones sounds about right to me. You may not be convinced but I have never seen any issues with ImgBurn affecting other burning programs, the first thing we always do when trouble shooting is to check the media, your current choice is poor and whislt it may be cheap is it worth these hassles ? My first step would be to buy Verbatim DVD+R DL media and burn it at 2.4x.
