  1. 2.4x or 6x should give the best result with that burner and media. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=9385
  2. This connector should work according to one poster. http://www.soonet.ca/showthread.php?t=27163
  3. Do you know the model/brand of your motherboard? Tried to attach the burner to another SATA connector?
  4. Hi and welcome to the forum, Hunter4u! ImgBurn is a stand alone application and doesn't need .net to be installed.
  5. Hi and welcome to the forum, tim7286! If you insert the media you'r having problems with and then start the 'Read mode' of the program - do you then see anything in the right info panel about the disc information? If you see it, can you just copy and paste that info into a posting window here? It should look something like this:
  6. You have another image (ISO file) you can try to burn?
  7. Hi and welcome to the forum, majinsoftware! Before considering a new burner, I would try to get rid of the 'buffers to recover' issue. Something on that C: drive makes it very slow to read from. It's in DMA mode and not in PIO mode?
  8. Hi and welcome to the forum, mariano! It's been suggested before to implement an automatic name saving function, so it's not an option in the current version.
  9. I downloaded it and no problems to burn that 'Vista_Recovery_Disc.iso' image.
  10. Hi and welcome to the forum, friar_tuck! There is a later firmware http://www.firmwarehq.com/Samsung/SH-S223Q/files.html Try to slow it down to 8x or 12x and see if it gives a better burn. 18x might be to fast for that media brand.
  11. The ones I have been using is DL: Singapore (Can't find any others here around). SL: Japan and Taiwan. Both excellent. The Indian made are by some told to be less good. I've used them in the past and no real issues with them what I can remember. I will try to get my hands of both the +R and-R discs and post some tests. The Chinese made SL discs seems to be not very good from posted scans here.
  12. Do you mean single layer or double layer?
  13. I suggest that you also post the same message to all of those thousands of software programs that follows the same Microsoft standard. A home PC and you can't even be bothered to once login as admin and edit a small line in the Windows registry?
  14. If you want to provide us with a list of installed programs, you can do this easily if you run this program (freeware). http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/myuninst.html Here is the .exe file: http://cynthia.ownit.nu/ImgBurn/myuninst.exe To create the list; Main Menu -> View -> HTML Report - All Items Then just attache the created file into a posting window here.
  15. You should be able to extract it (unpack) by running www.7-zip.org on the SetupImgBurn_2.4.4.0.exe file. If that fails - here are the two .exe files. http://cynthia.ownit.nu/ImgBurn/ImgBurn.exe http://cynthia.ownit.nu/ImgBurn/ImgBurnPreview.exe
  16. Hi and welcome to the forum, jtmoney87! Most likely you got a nice virus/malware that causes this. You can find some solutions in this thread: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=10038
  17. The issue is with the M: device. The data can't be read due to a failure to read the file. If you try to read/copy the image file in Windows Explorer - can that be done or you also get a reading error then?
  18. What speed did you burn it at?
  19. Hi and welcome to the forum, Merlincorp! You can mount the image file with this free program and then use the Windows Media Player or similar one to play the files. There are also some software players that can play directly from an image file. http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupVirtu...neDrive5428.exe
  20. As long as you have that option enabled - nothing will be written to the disc. (It's still blanc so you can reuse it. )
  21. How do you know it's not a virus/malware? So far nobody that got several possible suggestions posted in other threads bothered to come back, so who knows it's not?
  22. Hi and welcome to the forum, Easto! Check this location if there is an old version there. C:\Program Files\DVD Flick\imgburn Also search your hard disk for additional older copies of ImgBurn.
  23. You should be able to find reviews in this location. http://www.cdfreaks.com/
  24. Might wanna try a later firmware: http://www.firmwarehq.com/Lite-On/DH-20A3H/files.html
