  1. Hi and welcome to the forum, Nicholas 1! 1. Depends what you use in the Nero suit. If you only use the burning part of Nero, you should be able to use ImgBurn for those tasks. 2. No.
  2. Hi and welcome to the forum, dlewis61! It's not possible as ImgBurn doesn't support multisessions.
  3. There is an even later version here - version 1.0A. http://www.sony-optiarc.us/en/support-serv...-ad-series.html
  4. Hi and welcome to the forum, nxpa76! There is a later firmware version for that burner. You now have ver A302. The latest is ver A306. I 19:41:18 Destination Device: [0:1:0] HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4160B A302 (D:) (ATA) http://se.lgservice.com/index_b2c.jsp Select 'Device Driver' then on the next page: DVD-ROM (Writer) and in subject fill in GSA-4160B If you update the firmware: No disc in the tray Tray closed Restart the computer after the update The PMA error seems to happen only on +R media. So far I've only seen it happen on LG, Samsung and Lite-On writers.
  5. I've had some writers that produce crappy results when the 6x speed is selected. I have the same writer as you (the IDE version) and the best result is when you use 8x speed.
  6. A new function in the program, 'Send Feedback'? I can't see it in my version, I guess it's hard coded to be disabled for me.
  7. It should say something more specific if it doesn't work. Perhaps the download got corrupt?
  8. Hi and welcome to the forum, newtothissodon't...! You got a write error. Have you been able to burn with this brand of media before?
  9. No. ImgBurn can't convert video. You need to use another program to get it into .vob, .ifo, bup files first.
  10. Could be that the writer has break down. I had the same writer and it also suddenly stopped writing DVDs. CDs worked.
  11. Did you try another brand of DVDs?
  12. Hi and welcome to the forum, Rolks-! Can you post the full log of that failed burn as it will show some more stuff about your system. You'll find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs

    AD-5200 & AD-7200

From what I can understand the 5200 is more or less a 7200 without support for DVD-RAM. I have a AD-7200A and it's a great reader and writer. I use it as a reader as my Pioneer 115D is a bit greater as writer.
  14. I have a Pioneer 216D - the SATA version of the 116D burner. Good Luck with your new burner!
  15. Older players generally like to have the DL discs to be book typed. A very old player can also have problems to play even commercial DL discs.
  16. Hi and welcome to the forum, theweedevil! I 23:49:50 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: MBI 01RG40) That brand of media is not supported by the writer as there are no write speed numbers after the disc id. So the writer is using a general write approach and that doesn't seem to work very well. Have you tried with another brand of media?
  17. Hi and welcome to the forum, paddy69! Latest firmware version is 1.14. http://www.sony-optiarc.eu/en/support-serv...-ad-series.html Other than that, try to slow down the burning speed. 2.4x is the slowest. Right now you are burning at max (8x). The Verbatims that generally works best with older writers are the one labeled 2.4x made in Singapore.
  18. Aha. I've ordered some Aone myself just to see how well they perform. It's half the price compared to Verbatims.
  19. Isn't the DVR-116DBK just an internal IDE one?
  20. Check the cables and if you have another computer to mount it in - try that. Uninstalling it in Windows device manager and then restart the computer could be another thing to do. Edit: Curious. What model of Pioneer did you order?
  21. Hi and welcome to the forum, JusR23! Not the best media but there are some writers that like it. The best media that should work in most writers is the Verbatim 2.4x made in Singapore. If the mediacode on those Aone discs is RICOHJPND01 - they generally doesn't burn very well on a Sony Writer. Good writers for that media are Optiarc, Pioneers and Samsung. This is a scan from a disc that was burned with a Samsung SH-S223Q at 8x. Source.
  22. This is the cable you have now?
