  1. Tried to find something later in firmware but I can't. From the various posts it looks like a very unsupported writer from HP.
  2. Hi and welcome to the forum, dualauto! Normally it should say the image is bootable: Did you make the image bootable? There is a section 3.3 in a guide about it. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6392 The low amount of files also looks odd.
  3. Try this to get a working layer break. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6376
  4. Can't wait to read her reply to this one..... As a married man you should already have such a list.
  5. DVDFab saves the ImgBurn log in this place (Windows Vista) C:\Users\**Your User name**\Documents\DVDFab\Log\dvdfab_burn_imgburn.log
  6. Hej och v
  7. In my opinion Verbatim is of higher quality. There are some Verbatims made in China that are of questionable quality. The best ones seems to be made in Singapore. I use +R Verbatims made in India and those are also nice ones. Sony media uses various media codes and some are of high quality. It also depends on where they are manufactured.
  8. Verbatims seems to be liked by most burners. (Might also be due to the reason that the brand is of higher quality)
  9. If you already have the ISO file, just use the function Main Menu -> Tools -> ISO -> Change Volume Label
  10. www.dvdflick.net ?
  11. POST THE BURN LOG! YOU'LL FIND IT HERE: MAIN MENU -> HELP -> IMGBURN LOGS
  12. I think Nero only checks if the burned disc can be read, not comparing it byte for byte with the original source file(s) as ImgBurn does.
  13. Hi and welcome to the forum, burhan! There is a later firmware for that writer - 1.06. It might support that media better. http://us.lgservice.com/index_b2c.jsp (the page is a joke, but insert your model# in the search window and you should be finding the page) If you flash it: No disc in the tray Tray closed Restart the computer after the flash GSA_H55N_106.zip
  14. you have another reader to try it in?
  15. The Sony DRU-820A seems to be a rebadged BenQ DW-1670. Might work to do the bitsetting/book type function in the Benq tab and add it as a cloned drive in the advanced function of the book type function in ImgBurn. Some players seems to like to have the +R media as DVD-ROM when played.
  16. Checked with my own copy (Region 2) of this DVD and it has SPLIP=No, at the layer break. VTS_02=Main movie.
  17. It's a very nice reader so I use it mainly for that purpose and the only reason I can think of was that it wanted to try the bit setting firmware/function.
  18. Hi and welcome to the forum, Sammy! Tried to clean the disc?
  19. The issue is that even if the write part of the log shows no problems, the verify part shows that the writer has problems to read the disc. Perhaps try with another brand of media that the burner likes better, if the firmware update/speed change doesn't help.
  20. I have the same writer and I have flashed it with a 'hacked' firmware that supports bit setting of single layer +R media. Just be aware that the guarantee of your writer will be gone with the wind if you do it. You can find the firmware here in the column 'Orig'. http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/page/en/Optiarc-AD-7200A/
  21. Hi and welcome to the forum, mrgodzilla! Have you tried to burn a bit faster with the Sony discs? Like at 4x? If your computer is a Dell - there is a later firmware version to install. http://notebook.driversdown.com/notebook-d...000_78941.shtml No disc in the tray when you update Tray closed Restart the computer after the flash
  22. Windows XP supports UDF 1.02, 1.5, and 2.01. If you need higher versions you need to install additional drivers. Use the default ones; ISO9660; UDF (1.02)
  23. Hi and welcome to the forum, willow! ImgBurn can't compress/shrink files.
  24. Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim are disc brands.
  25. According to this old thread your writer is a rebadged Lite-On 1673S. http://club.cdfreaks.com/f61/memorex-dvd-16-dl4rwnd2-129076/
