  1. I have the same issue with my Lite-On's. Based on the size of your input file, I guess you didn't apply any 'shrinking' on the source file? Try to apply 1 % 'shrinking' with a 'popular free' shrinking program and re burn it. It helps with my problems. Only wish I knew why that 'fix' helps with PMA failures...
  2. Hi and welcome to the forum, zaffergrok! The latest firmware for that burner is ver 8P55. Currently you have ver 8H1F installed. You'll find it here under download, along with update instructions: http://www.liteonit.com.tw/global/index.ph...r&Itemid=75 I would go for the 8x write speed.
  3. Hi and welcome to the forum, xtreme 2! Your hard disk is not formatted to allow files bigger than 4GB. The .iso file has then been splitted into several small files. Just select the .mds file when you want to burn the DVD. ImgBurn will then 'join them together' during the burn.
  4. Hi and welcome to the forum, JaySea! I installed a bit setting firmware from Liggy and Dee, but never touched the settings in ImgBurn for the book type. If you have the setting 'Automatically change book type' in the Write tab enabled, then ImgBurn applies the bit setting by default.
  5. Perhaps a hearing impaired person.
  6. I guess the program that was used to create the ISO file didn't add the sound. ImgBurn doesn't change the sound/video of the image file.
  7. There seems be a max limit on how many assigned folders you can have. The limit can be changed. http://club.cdfreaks.com/f3/windows-xp-won...-setting-88230/
  8. Nero does a check that the associated vob files are there and also that there are no additional ones that is not referenced in the VIDEO_TS.IFO file. That's why you get the 'reallocation error' in Nero. ImgBurn only does a 'Get VTS sectors' and only fails if here is a .ifo/.bup file missing and not if there are missing .vob files or additional ones, as in your example. On some DVDs there are dummy/fake menu vobs like in this case, the VIDEO_TS.VOB. The reason might be to get the bup and ifo version of the VIDEO_TS to be placed in different sectors opposite of each other on the disc surface to avoid a scratch on the disc that makes it impossible to read both of them. If you get a scratch on one side of the disc - the other side should be fine and the other VIDEO_TS file can then be read by your reader/player and the disc is then not totally useless. Some movie studios also put a huge fake menu vob file on the disc to make it harder to get a decent compression out of the DVD. In this case, the VIDEO_TS.VOB file can be deleted without issues. ImgBurn uses the 32K padding option to avoid this 'scratch' scenario. From the guide section:
  9. The DVD device is not attached to this controller? Usually creates weird results if it is.
  10. Might try to update the firmware to ver 1.24. http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/content/suppor...t/software.html The current media you are using is supported in that firmware.
  11. Alcohol 52% is as much CD/DVD burning power as there is in Wine.
  12. Assuming this was the disc you have problem with, it looks as your reader had problems to read it after the write. Tried a 4x burn?
  13. Are all the writers SATA? Could be the issue that you have it connected to a RAID slot. (JMicron one?) Tried to attach the SATA to another non raid slot? I had problems to get my SATA writers to work with my ASUS Intel chipped mother board (P5W DH Deluxe), so I ended up getting an external SATA card. If you run a scan of the burned disc in either DVDInfoPro or Nero DiscSpeed, do the scan look 'awful' from the start of the scanning? (option disc quality)
  14. I inserted a DVD movie disc and the only options I have are .bin, img and .iso. I haven't found any way to encode the video to .avi either. I guess I'm using the wrong version of the program.
  15. Hi and welcome to the forum, markbuhay! The source was the same PAL/NTSC as your player supports? Any problems to play other burned discs on that stand alone player? You could post a log from that burn. You'll find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  16. 2/25=0.08 Depending on how well your burner deals with those discs, it sounds as a great deal.
  17. Hi and welcome to the forum, jredmond! Only way is to start several instances of ImgBurn at the same time. It's also possible to set up a queue to let the program write to several writers after each other.

    Site question

Hi and welcome to the forum, dollhobbs! Try this option: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?act=Use...ODE=dname_start
  20. Seems your hard disk is slowing the process down. Do you use the computer while you burn? You might want to have the Verify option enabled, to see how well the burn actually was.
