Could it be that you had something connected with the USB recently that you now have removed?
Could also be caused by a malware according to this post.

Hi and welcome to the forum!
Nero got rid of that program in ver 7 and upwards. There are two nice ones you can use instead and they are both free; Slysofts Virtual Clone drive and DVDFab Virtual Drive. The Daemon programs driver can slow down your verify speed in certain cases so I wouldn't use that one.
ImgBurn will never be an authoring program, so you'll need an external program for this task.
Both the ImgBurn Settings & Functions Guides are available in PDF format and thereby searchable.
There is a later firmware version.

Might help, but older burners have issues burning new media codes (Disc ID: RITEK-S04-66), like the discs you are using.
The only available write speed is
Some virus scanning or other stuff that could have happened at the same time you burned?
Can you upload this file
C:\Users\DR. MFC 7-64\AppData\Roaming\ImgBurn\Graph Data Files\TSSTcorp_CDDVDW_SH-S203B_SB04_SUNDAY-MARCH-21-2010_1-38_AM_YUDEN000-T03-00_12x.ibg
Sure you actually used the latest version of ImgBurn?
There is only one place where you switch it off and on.
Slow burning speed is not the same as it always burns without errors.
Use the Automatic Write Speed function and set your desired write speeds with it and you can forget about changing the drop down write speed selector in the future. Nero can't do that.
