  2. Old logs: Main Menu -> Help -.> ImgBurn Logs I guess 16x is the lowest speed your burner will allow for.
  3. If you use read mode can it show the disc info in the right panel then for those Verbatims? If that works - copy and paste the info from the disc information window into a posting window here.
  4. Somehow I think you mean DVD instead of CD. One of the best brand is Verbatim. Avoid those made in China. Today not much difference between the - and +. Older player seems to like - better. http://www.howtodothings.com/computers/a3545-how-to-choose-from-dvd-formats.html Sounds odd. Post a log of such a burn.
  5. What speed did you burn that disc at?
  6. In what format was the source? avi/divx? Post a log of that burn, it will tell us more. Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  7. The first error in that log is I've seen that happen with speeds the drive doesn't like. Now you have tried max = 8x. The other speeds to try with: The second burn (second posted error message) in that log is failing because you are using a used disc.
  8. Can you post the full log? Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  9. They never wrote anything. http://www.gearsoftware.com/wiki/index.php?title=Mass_Produced_CD/DVD_Discs
  10. Nero Recodes merge function works if you want to join several titlesets into one titleset.
  11. An option could be an internal Silicon Image card.
  12. This guide should explain the Build mode. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=1779
  13. Select Create image file from folders/files and in that mode, select the menu option "Output" change it to Image file.
  14. Old logs: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs Copy and paste it in a posting window.
  15. 'Unknown' could indicate that ImgBurn doesn't know if it's a DVD writer. Look in the Tools -> Device -> Capabilities to see what it can do.
  16. My knowledge of VM fusionware is zero. No idea if this helps. http://communities.vmware.com/message/526994;jsessionid=C2D96CCBD02BAD8BB75FB83180BAA84E There is also a setting in ImgBurn; in the I/O tab - SPTI - Device Enumeration method, that could be worth to try the different options. 'Drive Letter' sometimes works better when you are using emulators. You can read more in this guide about the above option. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6232&st=0&p=65053entry65053
  17. The one on the Firmware HQ seems to be for Vaio computers. Never seen that media code before. What name/brand of the discs is it?
  18. If there is any later firmware you should find it on the Dell support page. If it worked before with the same setup I would try with a cleaning disc. Trying to write at some other speeds than the current 8x could also be worth a try.
  19. Can you see the drives in Windows Device Manager?
  20. Have you been able to burn Blu-ray with this burner before? You are using quality media so there might be something defective with you burner.
  21. The log from that burn would tell us what settings you used.
  22. Tried the 2x write speed also? http://www.megaleecher.net/Fix_Power_Calibration_Error
  23. It's not an error, it's a Warning. Errors starts with an E. The issue with that driver is only affecting read performance. Without a log I can only guess that it could depend on several things. Most common is that your burned doesn't like the brand of discs.
  24. Tried to find a later firmware, but couldn't find anything. http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=XPS_M2010&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid= It might work if you could find the 2.4x rated Verbatims instead for the 8x rated ones you are using now. But I do think your burner has seen its best days and a new external drive sounds as an option to me. A cleaning disc could also be worth a try.
  25. On your old drive you also used 10x? Tried other speeds with your new drive?
