  1. Hi and welcome to he forum, Stafford! That media code seems to be not very well supported by the current firmware. There is a later version you could try with. http://www.firmwarehq.com/NEC/ND-3500AG/files.html If that also fail, your only luck is to get another brand of media/media code. SPTD is not the issue here. Usually you get issues with that driver only when reading discs. (Slow speeds).
  2. If your stand alone player doesn't support playing mpg files - you need to convert them with another program such as DVD Flick first to DVD compliant files.. ImgBurn only burns the files as they are.
  3. Hi and welcome to the forum, mapleawesome12! Switch back to SPTI. If you switch to read mode in ImgBurn - can you post the disc info of the right side of the program window? (if you can load the disc)
  4. If you insert the disc and select Write mode and look in the right panel window - you'll see it. It's also in the log. It's not on the package. Some nice mail ordering companies list it on the sales info.
  5. Verbatims 2.4x rated made in Singapore, seems to work best with older drives. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  6. I'm running Vista. Looks like you are running XP. Not sure if that might be the reason.
  7. It's a re badged LG GSA-4166B, so if the commands fails for LG the first words in post #2 is the issue. It seems it's possible to flash it to a "genuine" LG - but the warranty will be gone and also the drive might be harmed. http://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/hp-840b-broken-t305893.html Another option is to replace it with another drive. The log you posted from the TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-T633A drive shows that it was book typed to DVD-ROM.
  8. Do you see SCSI or RAID in the log? Like this example
  9. Hi and welcome to the forum, spsbroly! That burner was released in 2005. You could try a firmware update or a cleaning disc. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Philips/DVD8701/files.html
  10. Not true. It's the burn speed that gives the best quality of the burn that is the one to use.
  11. Who on earth told you to burn DVDs at 32x?
  12. Hi and welcome to the forum, Kriegshetzer! Try to update the firmware. The current one seems not to support that brand/media code. http://www.firmwarehq.com/NEC/ND-3500AG/files.html
  13. Hi and welcome to the forum, jpom22! No. ImgBurn burns the files as they are. It's not possible to just add a .srt file into a DVD compliant set of files (.ifo,bup.vob) - you need to include the .srt file during the converting of the .avi file. DVD Flick is another free option for that purpose. There are several guides on how to do this task with DVD Flick on the Net. http://www.digital-digest.com/articles/AVI_to_DVD_using_DVD_Flick_page1.html
  14. Can take ages before it ends up in court and then up in higher courts and in the mean time you must feed the the dream team with bananas.
  15. Macrovi$ion & $ony can afford to hire lawyers...
  16. Hi and welcome to the forum, FocusedDeano! Pretty new media code. Perhaps a firmware update fix it. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Samsung/TS-L632H/files.html (Vista without Service Packs must be a pain to run? )
  17. A lot of others that posted error logs in the past that can burn regular single layer DVD media - but fails on DL media.
  18. Hi and welcome to the forum, Incerto! Same media as before = same media code on the old ones that worked? Disc ID: RITEK-D01-01 Try a firmware update. http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GSA-4167B/files.html If that also fail - try a cleaning disc.
