High price for just a cd writer. I have a few 52x liteon unopened as well as one plex unopened edit 17th feb 08 Spotted some liteon 52x cdrw for £6.22
-
Well as you said you had no problems with them It would be a good guess to say YES
-
I thought you meant the ones I own. Paid £148 for one of my plex's in 2001 and £108 for the other, They are 2 sheep burners, subchannel, efm etc. I used them to backup my dreamcast games.

Try switching to SPTI in I/O change the media to Verbatim 2.4x Edit Too slow
-
Go back to using Verbatim
-
Those be the old ones ?
-
ImgBurn 2.4.0.0 has been released now, you might like to update it.
-
And for my next prediction
-
buy them from reputable company, maybe read up on your drive and see what the specs are it may be its only a 4x writer and then go from there, so me telling or rather suggesting you go and buy 8x disc's may be the wrong info. its time for a new drive as that drive is a 2x max and you are going to need a miracle to keep finding media that drive will work with for much longer. [edit] I had one of these drives paid £199 for it , it broke a few days after buying and returned it and got the pioneer 105 instead. Thought the drive number rang a bell (only wanted it cos of the dvd-ram)
-
Happy Birthday Quarter of a century Enjoy your day
-
The thing is the writer you have was not meant to use those disc's , the disc's you have are 16x and the writer only sees them as 2x. Your writer is quite old and support for the newer disc's has not been added nor is it likely to. Try and get some TYG02 8x failing that get a new writer.

That to me is a sign the drive / how it is connected / to what it is connected is not playing nice getting stuck and not reporting back properly. Could be media is total crap but I would be reinstalling my operating system and on a clean system with standard ms drivers to deal with sata and the ide then testing the drive with the chipset drivers in MINUS the storage driver from any Nforce driver release. You should also if you want hassle free useage in the bios make sure AHCI is not being used and set either to AUTO or manually set to emulate IDE.

Are they made in India >?

Hardly sarcasm, just banter until a log file appears
-
My ROM does that when I put in a Spanish clairvoyant.
-
Same with all girlfriends.
-
Try burning them at 4x instead. Actually ignore that, its the way you have posted log file taking up all the screen width ways, I just saw in log you have it set to max. try the drive in another computer if you can then return it if still the same on made in singapore verbatim
