I'll keep that in mind.

Nurse! One colonoscopy for patient Minter, please.

Thanks Kenadjian. I wasn't aware of that. Your info i highly appreciated. Thanks again. Buy a Pioneer. They're much more "new user" friendly.

You've just had your prescription refilled, haven't you?
-
I'm with LFC. You need a hobby of some sort.
-
Let me guess - you used Windows Media Player to view it? If you did, use Media Player Classic instead. http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/

I assume you've applied for the $1,000,000 reward offered by The Skeptics Society? No?

18gigs? It's a tad on the large side. I don't know what you've got against MPEG2 as the quality will likely be shoddy only if the source is. Commercial vendors use it because it's the standard. You could certainly compress it but I doubt DVD Shrink would touch it due to the amount of compression needed. I could be wrong though. Converting an AVI to an ISO is pretty simple using the tool I linked to above which converts all sorts of video formats to DVD VOB files. Then use something like ImgTool Classic to convert the VOBs to an ISO which then loads ImgBurn automatically to burn. ImgTool Classic can be found at www.coujo.de. A dedicated video forum might be a better place to ask about conversions and compression of various video formats.

You've not heard of Shoutcast? Yer kidding. It's been around for quite a while now. There's a few little things to look for like the amount of users on the channels as well as their downstream speed. Both affect your listening experience thingy. Also, unless you get a fast station (like ChroniX Aggression where the speed is always good), you might want to look for a better program than my old WinAmp. Specifically, something that you can adjust the buffer size with to allow for seamless play.
-
Hmm... not much as it doesn't provide a great deal when you compare it to Shoutcast (which is free). Not only doesn't the home page function correctly using Opera (contrary to popular belief, the world doesn't revolve around Windows and Internet Explorer) but I can't really see the point to it all. Also, it's only for U.S. subscribers and you need to disable popup killers to access your "radio station". Sure, the idea has some merit but am I willing to part with my cash as well as my personal details to aid the collection of identifiable data, the logging of my contacts and my demographic? Nope. Gimme Shoutcast and an XBox anyday. <opinion mode off> BTW, I'm listening to Shoutcast atm using WinAmp v2.91. This station actually. http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutcast-pl...le=filename.pls

Unable to burn Miscrosoft Memory Diagnostics

Ah! That makes sense. Thanks mate. -
LOL!! I think I've had enough beer for today.

Too subtle?

I haven't visited Snopes in a while. Being the sceptical, baby-killing atheist that I am, there's not a lot I place a great deal of merit in. Penis enlargement pills, fundamentalists and psychics least of all.

We (us, they, I, them) can't help you with any problems you might be having backing up DVDS. We can help with burning disk images but that's about it. Sorry. I shall now return to my goose-stepping and book burning in an effort to appease our imperial overlord who is (without doubt) watching this forum for any signs of impropriety.

It's a great site. A favourite of mine for a long time.

I still feel like I'm missing out. Not a single spam in 3 years. What if I really want my genitals to be 22 times larger than they are now? Or become rich beyond my wildest dreams? What if I want to spray pheremones all over myself and attract "hot, sexy women" in my local area? Perhaps I really need that rectal lube to improve my health or to hand out my bank details so some poor fooker overseas has somewhere to place his squandered millions. Alas, it is not to be.

A 38k ISO does seem a tad on the small side. Why does TAO succeed when SAO fails? A different set of rules? -
Snopes.com is one of the best sites on the net IMO.

I'll be buggered. I didn't know that. I'm guessing the solution would be to pad the ISO out a bit? Interesting... -
Hence my hastily added second link. I probably should have mentioned that LiteOn make Sony drives. I shall now whip myself with celery until I'm forgiven.

Embarassing request for HELP...
Shamus_McFartfinger replied to MightyRich's topic in ImgBurn General
The easiest (and cheapest) way I can think of is to use a program called Folder2ISO. It's a freeware tool that grabs the contents of any directory (including any sub-directories) and converts them to an ISO image that ImgBurn will happily burn to CD or DVD. Good luck. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_so.../folder2iso.cfm -
Crossflashing means changing the internal software (the firmware) to something other than your drive was originally released with. Your drive (a Sony DW-D56A) basically comes in two different flavours - Dell and Sony - which are pretty much the same drive except for the firmware. We know it's a Dell by the firmware version you provided with your logfile from above. Specifically, this bit: So, we know that the drive uses Dell firmware. What was suggested is to change it to a Sony drive by downloading and executing Sony firmware. It may ruin your drive, it may work perfectly and it may do nothing at all. As Lightning said above, attempting to modify it can't make it too much worse. The latest Sony firmware for your drive is version PFS3 which can be downloaded from the link below. ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/PUB/Downloads/SO/...00829906-UN.exe EDIT: For some more info (and possibly some more required tools for your drive), you might want to have a quick read of this thread. http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=108852&page=6
