Hi and welcome to the forum. The newest firmware for your drive is T512 so you're a couple versions behind. You can find the newest at: RPC1 As suggested by Donta...and quoted from their website.... You need a burner to succeed any further... Edit....Dooh...second again.....

As lfc said above...get some Verbs...

Leave the program set to defaults, it works best that way. If you're not doing something maybe the machine is anyway. Look at your processes and what you are loading at startup and see what you can do away with while working with IB. I use a proces/program killing app. called enditall 2 and it works wonders. I don't know if it works under Vista or not, you can check it out at PC Magazine. There are a lot of apps out there if it doesn't, just use GOOGLE for application killers...

Definitely follow the advice given by Jack and change media. CMC Magnetics is among the worst media out. They are used by many name brands to offer a product, but they suck.

Plce the newly completed disc in the drive, open IB and look at the right side window after it reads the disc, what does it tell you the disc is?

Take it from us....change your media to Verbatim DataLifePlus or Taiyo Yuden brands, if that still fails then we can go further. Because you acheived a few good burns on bad media is great, if the media doesn't loose the burn in a few months. We test all brands f MID and burners and only recommend what works.

Why that would happen does not make sense, the burning section of the former program formed the basis for the ImgBurn program, as far as I know. Please post an ImgBurn logfile...there are line items in there that we need to see that may point to the problem. Are you using Verbatim +R DL discs?
