  1. That's the problem with non-Verbatim dual-layer media: the quality changes wildly even in discs of the same batch, and the burner can't work miracles either
  2. Update your burner's firmware and try again at 6x or 8x. Also please post the log from burning Verbatim media (look in ImgBurn's Help menu).
  3. Looks like a media problem. Have you tried burning at 6x? You would get much better results with Verbatim blanks. By the way, you should update your Windows XP to Service Pack 3.
  4. You find the older logs in ImgBurn's Help menu. By the way, if you really want to use those crappy blanks you have you'll need to buy a new burner that may support them, because the burner you have clearly doesn't.
  5. That disc isn't a DVD+RW rewritable disc, so it doesn't need formatting. It seems the drive is incorrectly detecting the disc. With ImgBurn in Write mode and that disc in the drive, please copy and paste here all the text shown in the Information box of ImgBurn.
  6. Update ImgBurn and try again.
  7. Your burner doesn't support the media you're using. You could try with the Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL blanks or you'll need to buy a new (probably external) burner that supports the blanks you have.
  8. With ImgBurn in Read mode and that disc in the drive, please copy and paste here all the text shown in the Information box of ImgBurn.
  9. ImgBurn is just a burning tool, i.e. it doesn't handle video/menus/etc. DVD Flick is the one you should be using to convert your video(s) to DVD format.
  10. The Verify is designed to check the disc as a whole: if you want to check the disc's files/folders you should use programs specifically made for that, such as Beyond Compare and similar.
  11. Update ImgBurn. You should also install Service Pack 3 on your Windows XP, which was released more than a year ago. That log doesn't show anything being burned, are you sure that's all of it? Have you looked in the Log window too?
  12. Then please post the whole log from that burn session (look in ImgBurn's Help menu).
  13. Sounds like as you don't have a burner. With ImgBurn in Write mode, right-click on the drive's name and choose Capabilities. What are the options checked under Write capabilities? You can post a screenshot if you prefer.
  14. We can only help with ImgBurn itself or the burning process in general, and since your problem isn't one of those, we can't help you. Use Google and you'll quickly find what you need.
  15. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=61
  16. Your source image was wrongly made, and since this isn't a ImgBurn problem nor is it a burning problem in general, we can't help you.
  17. Not only ImgBurn, the burner also doesn't care about the data that has to be written.
  18. How's this an ImgBurn issue? It should be posted in the Chat section, or at least in one of your numerous previous threads.
  19. CD burning and DVD burning are very different things, and your burner should be able to do both, e.g. I have a Samsung SH-S203B 20x SATA burner that can burn single and dual layers DVDs just fine (the burn quality is good) but isn't reading any kind of CD media at all.
  20. That's what Windows should do when you press the Cancel/Abort button: it usually opens the user's Documents folder. In ImgBurn's settings you can force it to always open a specific folder.
  21. Try burning at 6x or 8x, and if it still doesn't work then you should think about getting it replaced.
  22. ImgBurn uses standard Windows dialogs for Open/Save operations, so that's a problem with your Windows. Isn't there a Cancel or Abort button? Alternatively you can double-click on the ISO file and ImgBurn should open it (provided that it's associated with the .iso file extension). You can also drag and drop your ISO image to ImgBurn.
  23. ImgBurn doesn't support multisession at this moment (it may be added on a future version).
  24. Try a lens cleaning disc on that burner, and if it doesn't help then you should start looking for a new burner.
