  1. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=4249 - check if the speed isn't set for only one device.
  2. Try a lens cleaning disc on that burner. Where are your blanks made? It's printed on the packaging/spindle/box.
  3. Yes, it's possible, but you'll have to use a re-authoring program to do that. If I'm not mistaken DVD Shrink can do that.
  4. Have you not seen this? New Optiarc models are very good too.
  5. ImgBurn uses DirectShow to decode audio files, so the problem you're seeing is caused by the filter that's being used for that audio format. You can use GraphEdit to find out which filter is being used. Do you have codec pack(s) installed? If you do then you know where the problem might be coming from
  6. Post the log from your attempt (look in ImgBurn's Help menu).
  7. As far as we know only SPTD can cause problems. Have you used their utility to remove SPTD?
  8. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished). Have you tried burning at 8x?
  9. I would also try crossflashing it to its real SH-S203N model.
  10. The software doesn't control the burn quality: that depends entirely on your burner/firmware/media/write speed combination. The software just feeds data in the correct order. It's been quite some time since burning at 2.4x produced high quality burns: newer burners are optimized for faster speeds, especially on 8x rated media like the MKM-003-00 discs. Even on the 2.4x rated MKM-001-00 discs some burners (e.g. newer Pioneers and Samsungs) do a better job burning them at 4x or 6x.
  11. Your drive isn't correctly recognising the disc. Try a lens cleaning disc on that burner to see if it helps, but it would be better if you could buy a new drive to replace it (I've looked around and many people had problems with that drive especially burning dual-layer media).
  12. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and try again. Also check the fragmentation of your D: drive and avoid using the computer while burning.
  13. That drive automatically booktypes DVD+R DL media to DVD-ROM, so that shouldn't be a problem. Please post the log from that burn you did (look in ImgBurn's Help menu).
  14. That was a good burn, so if the source image isn't corrupted then the problem is in your x360 console. Any particular reason for using the Incremental write type? By the way you should update your Vista to service pack 2
  15. Try using Media Player Classic Homecinema (it has internal filters for DVD decoding).
  16. An external slim burner is a laptop burner in an external enclosure, and as you know by now, laptop burners are rubbish. The site you've linked to doesn't seem to have any good external burners
  17. Using SIW, you can check your computer's USB capabilities in Hardware -> Ports -> USB
  18. Update ImgBurn. Check if that computer has USB 2.0 ports (you can use SIW to find out). If it doesn't then you'll have to use another computer which does have USB 2.0 ports, since USB 1.1 is too slow even for 1x DVD burning.
  19. Try SIW It's also good practice to have the burner connected as master at the end of a good 80-wire cable.
  20. Wii game discs are protected and ImgBurn doesn't copy protected discs.
  21. There's a communication problem with your burner. Look for updated driver's for your motherboard's chipset or IDE controller.
  22. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtop...238&hl=SPTD - the Search button doesn't bite, you can use it as much as you want
