  1. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and try burning at 6x or 4x. If all that doesn't help then read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  2. Try burning at 4x to see if you get better results. You might also want to try a lens cleaning disc on your burner, but laptop burners in general are rubbish, especially for burning dual-layer media.
  3. You were told to use 2.5.0.0 because it isn't the problem, and you didn't. You were told to burn at 4x or 6x because your burner might do a better job at those speeds (those blanks are rated 8x after all), and you didn't. You were told to enable Verify because that's what ensures the disc was correctly burned, and you didn't. If you're not going to try our suggestions then stop wasting our time.
  4. That's probably caused by copy protection, and ImgBurn can't read protected discs.

    Help.

    Yup, they're true garbage now.
  6. You have noticed I've linked to the latest firmware in my post, right?
  7. Update ImgBurn. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished). Try burning at 4x with a brand new blank disc, since the one from the log above was damaged in a previous failed burn.

    Help.

Using an older ImgBurn version won't solve the crappy media problem.
  9. Please post the contents of the CUE file (open it with Notepad).

    Help.

Try burning at 4x or 6x, and if that doesn't work then read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  11. Optical drives don't like being on SATA controllers in RAID mode. Do you use RAID? Look for updated drivers for your motherboard's chipset or SATA controller. You should also install Vista's service pack 2.
  12. We don't support old version, besides, ImgBurn can't force a speed not supported by your burner (look at the Supported Write Speeds reported by your burner in the Information box). Also a slower speed doesn't necessarily result in a better quality burn, especially on newer burners and 8x rated media.
  13. Also update ImgBurn. Any reason for burning that image to a dual-layer disc when it fits a single-layer disc just fine?
  14. You really think m1cro$oft would allow their videogame to play backups when they profit from original games sales?
  15. Follow this guide for single-layer media, or this guide for dual-layer media.
  16. If you're using Daemon Tools or Alcohol 52/120% mount the .mds file and it should work. If you're using another program to mount you'll have to join the *.i0x files. You can use Command Prompt (e.g. copy /b Image1.i00+Image1.i01+Image1.i02 Image1.iso) or HJSplit or similar program to join the files into an ISO image. By the way, ImgBurn doesn't create spanned volumes: what you've made was a split image. In the future you should consider using 7-Zip/WinRAR/etc. for creating splitting volumes.
  17. ImgBurn doesn't support multisession at the moment. Maybe it will in the future.

  19. Because you wrote at 4x when it was failing before with 2.4x speed. It all depends on the burner/firmware/media/write speed combination: the software doesn't control burn quality or anything like that.
  20. Please read the pink banner at the top of this page ^^
  21. That disc was damaged in a previously failed burn. Try again with a brand new blank disc.
  22. Is your E: drive an external drive or a network drive? Is it defragmented? Were you heavily using the computer when that happened? Go to Tools -> Settings -> I/O tab and enable the Reading - Always Use Buffered I/O option to see if it helps. //edit too late
  23. That drive automatically booktypes DVD+R DL media to DVD-ROM, so you don't need to worry about it.
  24. It's not a bug: the Eject Tray option at the burn screen is only valid for that burn. When you set ImgBurn to burn more than one copy the Queue is used, so the option you're looking for is in Tools -> Settings -> Write tab -> page 2 and it's called Eject Tray Before Next Write under Queue Options.
