Because the verify checks the whole disc to make sure it was a good burn? Or you prefer to find it was a bad burn when the game freezes in a difficult part far from where you saved it?
-
The newer internal models by Pioneer and Optiarc seem very good. You could get one of those and put it in an external enclosure of your choice.
-
A firmware update could improve support for the media you're using, but since there are no firmware updates you'll need to use different media or get an external burner that can burn your blanks

That log you've posted is incomplete.

Please post the log from that burn (look in ImgBurn's Help menu).

You can use ImgBurn with any burner that's recognized by your computer As for that model being good or not, have you looked at the cdfreaks forum?

mmalves replied to Krokanrull's topic in ImgBurn Support
Im kind of new to this and well I have the same problem but my firmware is 0.67 what do I do? Start your own thread and post the log from that burn (look in ImgBurn's Help menu). -
That media code (Disc ID: MBI 01RG40) is not supported by the firmware for the burner. Try with another brand/media code such as Verbatims. i tried to use verbatims and i got the same error . do my computer has to be on windows xp Start your own thread and also post the log of that burn (look in ImgBurn's Help menu).

Look again in the log for the Destination Media line and you'll see that 8x is probably the slowest speed your burner supports with that media.
-
With ImgBurn in Read mode and that disc in the drive, please take a screenshot of ImgBurn and post it here.

Burning speed slowdown with Kaspersky and others
mmalves replied to coaster's topic in ImgBurn Support
Please post the log of a burn showing that behaviour (look in ImgBurn's Help menu). -
Try at 4x and 6x, since your burner might be able to do a better job at those speeds. If it doesn't work then I guess you should be looking for a new burner http://club.cdfreaks.com/f34/why-dvd-r-dis...rked-rw-166611/

Accidentally burned ten or so File dvds as DivX, all file names
mmalves replied to nintennuendo's topic in ImgBurn Support
I think you burned the disc with only ISO9660 filesystem, hence why the names are all in capital letters and truncated to 8.3 characters Can you post the log from when you've used ImgBurn to create an ISO from that disc? You can find the logs in ImgBurn's Help menu. -
Xbox360 burn failed verifying..game will not boot
mmalves replied to yitmat's topic in ImgBurn Support
There is SH-S183L at FirmwareHQ.com, which is a mirror of all the oficial firmware updates from all different manufacturers. Notice though that the official flasher won't allow you to crossflash your TS-H653L to SH-S183L: if you really want to do this unpack the official flasher with WinRAR/7-Zip and run sfdnwin.exe -nocheck then you'll be able to load the SB03 firmware for flashing -
Xbox360 burn failed verifying..game will not boot

Getting slow, old man? -
That blank was damaged in a previous failed burn so you should throw it away or use it as a coaster Try with a brand new blank disc at 6x or 8x. If it doesn't work at first then use a lens cleaning disc on that burner and try again. If it still doesn't work then you should read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000

It seems that the slowest speed your burner supports that media is 4x, and that's why you get the write speed miscompare warning. Please post the log from that burn (look in ImgBurn's Help menu) so that we can see what's going on

Xbox360 burn failed verifying..game will not boot
mmalves replied to yitmat's topic in ImgBurn Support
There's newer firmware for that burner if you want to try (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished). Also it may be better to try burning at 4x (or 6x if it becomes available after the firmware update), after all those are 8x rated blanks. Oh, and put ImgBurn 2.5.0.0 back on -
Accidentally burned ten or so File dvds as DivX, all file names
mmalves replied to nintennuendo's topic in ImgBurn Support
Use IsoBuster to try and see if there's a Joliet (or maybe UDF) filesystem on your disc, and if there is, you may be able to extract the files with their full names. Alternatively, use ImgBurn's Read mode to create an ISO image from that disc and then use WinRAR to open that ISO image to see if the long filenames are there. -
[Not Configured] appears when you've clicked the Calculate button (or added files/folders with Auto calculate enabled) while there were no labels set in the Labels tab. Notice that at the time of burning (and verifying later) the label is correctly set. Could you try that disc on another computer? Or even another OS on your computer? I've had many times when labels weren't updated in Windows Explorer and it was usually due to me messing around with AutoRun/AutoPlay

If it's working then all is good

Accidentally burned ten or so File dvds as DivX, all file names
mmalves replied to nintennuendo's topic in ImgBurn Support
DivX discs use ISO9660 + Joliet filesystems, which allows (by default) files/folder names up to 64 characters. Is this not enough for you? Now if you're seeing only up to 11 characters (including file extension) then whatever program you're using is only reading the ISO9660 filesystem. -
Xbox360 burn failed verifying..game will not boot
mmalves replied to yitmat's topic in ImgBurn Support
That disc seems to have been damaged in a previously failed burn Anyway, I think it would be cheaper to get a new burner instead of wasting more Verbatim blanks.
