  1. Do you still have the BDMV folder/files? If you do, follow this guide instead of burning that ISO file you've created before.
  2. Look for the latest drivers for your motherboard's chipset. Use SIW to find out if you don't know. You might also want to open Device Manager, expand the USB controllers branch, open the Properties of each device and untick the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save energy" option on every device in that list.
  3. You need to use the Write mode to burn your ISO/IMG image
  4. You should also install the latest ImgBurn version.
  5. Install this driver and try burning again.
  6. Look for the latest drivers for the motherboard's chipset or IDE controller where the burner is connected to. Use SIW to find out the brand/model if you don't know.
  7. Also try a lens cleaning disc on that burner.
  8. Verify the disc against the image file as that's the only way to know if it was a good burn or not. And next time you're burning, leave Verify enabled You might also want to try burning at 4x to see if you get a better quality burn.
  9. That drive is a CD and DVD reader only: it doesn't burn any type of disc.
  10. I would keep the latest firmware
  11. If your burner is doing a bad job on the best media you can get on the market then I think you should start looking for a new burner
  12. It seems to be bug in the firmware because 24x is listed as supported, ImgBurn sends the command to set write speed to 24x, and yet the drive chooses to use 16x. I wouldn't worry about this though Are the discs working OK? They aren't skipping or anything, are they?
  13. If it burned and verified fine then there's nothing much you can do. Have you tried that disc on other x360s to rule out yours being picky?
  14. Write speed miscompare is when the selected write speed isn't the same speed reported by the burner at the time of burning. It can be caused due to selecting a write speed that doesn't match any of the speeds reported by the burner, or, as in your case, due to probably a bug in the burner's firmware.
  15. You would have to test a few discs from a few brands to find out which one your burner likes better.
  16. Noticed the Total Errors in Sectors: 1? That's usually caused by bad memory. If you haven't overclocked your computer or messed with memory timings then you should get it replaced. If you want to really test the memory of your computer then use memtest. Vista also has a built-in memory test: press F8 while the computer is booting, then press ESC at the menu that appears and you should be able to access it. You should also look for updated drivers for your motherboard's chipset (use SIW if you don't know what brand/model you have).
  17. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished). You might also want to try burning at 6x or 8x.
  18. ISO and IMG are just different filename extensions, the content of both is the same.
  19. Maybe if you looked 10 posts down the Suggestions section before hitting the New Post button you'd have seen this has already been suggested many times before...
  20. Please post the log of that burn (look in ImgBurn's Help menu).
  21. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optiarc = Sony + NEC Wherever you read that, it's wrong information: DVD+R DL media booktyped to DVD-ROM is more compatible with DVD devices of all kinds. This is so true, in fact, that most burners automatically booktype DVD+R DL media to DVD-ROM by themselves (it's set to do so in their firmware), which is probably why yours is being booktyped even though you disabled that option in ImgBurn's settings.
  22. Taking the speed of sound into account it'll be a few hours before I can hear your sigh of relief
  23. Yes, a lot of padding can be added to align the cell with the layerbreak, and this is all according to the DVD-Video standard.
