  1. And exactly where the label isn't displayed?
  2. Try a lens cleaning disc on that drive, and if it doesn't help, then you'll need to try with better media such as the Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL blanks.
  3. It's a good burn. Provided that the source image is good, then the problem is with your x360 console, and we can't help with that Google around a bit and you'll quickly find what needs to be done
  4. I know. That's why I said to enable Windows Update as that would sort it out by itself.
  5. Get the LG one, it's newer than the $ony. It would be better if you could get a brand new one though: it has a better chance at burning the blanks you have.
  6. Enable Windows Update to update your Vista to Service Pack 2. Also look for updated drivers for your motherboard's chipset or SATA controller (use SIW to find out their brand/model if you don't know them).
  7. Try a lens cleaning disc on that burner and if that doesn't help then you'll need to read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  8. Isn't that the same as setting WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86-ENU.exe to run in Windows XP compatibility mode?
  9. Does it have to be external? If you get an internal drive you can replace your current burner with it. Have you looked here? http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....mp;N=2010100005 This one is a good burner and the price seems OK: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16827129043
  10. You're correct: only CD media support MODE2/* data type. This isn't mentioned in the guide because MODE1/2048 is the default setting in ImgBurn, and even if you try with MODE2/* you'll be warned by ImgBurn about the wrong setting
  11. The Verify process compares data on the burned disc against the source image: if they match then the disc is good; if they don't match (or there's a read error/etc) then the disc is bad
  12. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and it should help getting better quality burns. If you still get errors you should try with Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL blanks. Did you Verify that burn? If not then you should do it manually.
  13. If you want to make a copy of your disc then follow this guide. Notice, though, that ImgBurn doesn't copy protected discs. //edit let's not go off topic here, KasparP if you have something to tell me do it by private message
  14. Try a lens cleaning disc on that drive. You might also want to try burning at 6x, 8x or 2.4x to see if you get a better burn. If after all that it still doesn't work, try with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks.
  15. Try burning at 8x or 12x. If that doesn't work, try a lens cleaning disc on that burner.
  16. Did you let it verify the burn? If so, how did it turn out?
  17. The recommended media for a successful burn is Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL blanks (it's a link you can click for more information ). And you don't need to change anything in ImgBurn before burning that
  18. You'll need to use dual-layer media in order to burn that ISO.
  19. Try burning at 4x or 6x. If that doesn't work then please read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  20. That disc was damaged in a previous failed burn, and that's why you're getting different error messages with it (e.g. the number I quoted above should always be 4,173,824 for blank DVD+R DL discs). You see, the burn process relies on the burner/firmware/media combination: since you're using the latest firmware for your burner, the next easy thing to change is media. The software can't force the hardware to do anything it doesn't want/support. We know from our own tests that Verbatim 2.4x blanks work on most burners, even when many other dual-layers failed. If you don't want to take our word for it, fine, but look around on the several forums that deal with burning/games/etc and you'll see the consensus. If you're going to get a new burner have a look over at cdfreaks forums, they test a lot of drives and there you'll find which brand/models of burner might be able to burn your discs.
  21. A new burner may be able to burn those blanks but you'll only know for sure by trying
  22. 2.4x is the only speed available. Try looking for a firmware update with the laptop's manufacturer.
  23. Try with a brand new blank disc because that one was damaged in a previous failed burn. If it still doesn't work then read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  24. This is the real error and basically it means the burner doesn't support that media. You could try a lens cleaning disc on that burner to see if it helps, but it would be best if you could use Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL blanks.
