  1. What do you need the bootable disc for? I'm asking because there are several pre-made bootable images available for downloading and one of them might be able to do what you want.
  2. Get a Pioneer 116/117 (or 216/217) burner in a nice external enclosure of your choice and you won't have problems again.
  3. Maybe the quality of that disc was slightly higher and the drive was able to burn it, or the burn quality was just enough to be readable. We recommend using Verbatim 2.4x blanks because they burn good on most burners, and if a burner can't burn those 2.4x Verbatims then it's broken. By the way, update ImgBurn to the latest version.

If you have a ISO/MDS/BIN/CUE disc image then follow this guide. If you have a VIDEO_TS folder then follow this guide (single-layer media) or this guide (dual-layer media). If you have AVI/WMV/etc video files that you want to burn to DVD and play on any DVD player then you'll need to use DVD Flick, ConvertXtoDVD or similar programs to convert the videos before burning.
  5. That's because you need a boot image in order to make a disc bootable.
  6. If there's a .dvd/.mds file ImgBurn would use the layerbreak contained in them.
  7. It would be a good start if you told us what you're actually trying to do. Read carefully the pink banner at the top of this page.
  8. It'll burn at 2.4x even if you select 1x because that's the only speed your drive supports with that media (which should be up to 8x).
  9. The burner needs to support the media, and in your case, your burner doesn't support the Verbatim 8x DVD+R DL blanks (notice it only offers 2.4x writing speed).
  10. We can't help you with that, but you can easily find out on your own using Google
  11. You're right, it's the media: your burner doesn't support it. Could you post the log from when you've burned with Verbatim? Look in ImgBurn's Help menu.
  12. To burn x360 games you can use any software capable of correctly setting the layerbreak position. Notice, though, that the software doesn't control the burn quality, and that depends on your burner/firmware/media/write speed combination. As a last attempt you could try with the 2.4x Verbatim blanks (MKM-001-00 dye) if you can find them.
  13. Probably yes, but as LUK said above, if ImgBurn can't read the disc then we can't help you
  14. Newer burners like yours are better tuned for burning at higher speeds, so when you burn a 8x rated media at 2.4x it might be doing a poor job at it. Usually on 8x media it does best at 4x or 6x. Now if you think it's a computer problem (unlikely in my opinion since the verify turns out fine) then you'll need to take it to a technician
  15. You'll have to burn to a CD-RW and then use Read mode to make an image from it.
  16. Since it verified fine it means the burn is good. What may be happening is that the burn quality isn't good enough for your x360. Try burning at 4x or 6x to see if it helps, that's 8x rated media after all.
  17. We don't support old versions, so please use the latest.

    CD size

And you're talking about DVD sizes when the thread title is "CD size"? It only makes us wonder if you knew what you were doing... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigabyte http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gibibyte
  19. That's because they were burned on low quality media, and whoever did it probably had disabled the Verify option. As for burning, if you don't try with Verbatim blanks we'll never know if your burner is good or not. If you've burned Verbatims before you should still have the log (look in ImgBurn's Help menu).
  20. Try burning at 8x, but those blanks are crap anyway.
  21. And where's the log of that burn?
