ImgBurn shows what your burner is saying, and the error you have is usually due to low quality media (not your case) or a dirty/worn out burner Where are your Verbatim blanks made? We've heard the ones made in India are lower quality compared to the ones made in Singapore. Is your other burner capable of burning on those Verbatim blanks?

Your drive isn't correctly recognizing the disc (the highlightd value should be 2,298,496 or 2,297,888), which means it doesn't support that disc. You could try a Full Erase on it but I'm not sure if it'll help, or even work. It would be better if you used non-rewritable media, or at least a rewritable from Verbatim.

Disks are blank despite burn finishing, (verify faily)

Try burning at 4x, 6x or 8x. If it doesn't work then try with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks. -
Looks like a worn out CD-RW disc. Have you used it much before? Have you tried a Full Erase on it?
-
If the .mds wasn't created then probably it wasn't needed. You don't need to worry about this then
-
You'd have to burn the CUE to a CD-R/CD-RW and then use Read mode to create a disc image from the burned disc.
-
Your burner doesn't like that media. If you don't want to get Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks then at least try other brands until you find one that works with your burner.

Can not burn dual layer Bluray disks no matter what I try.
mmalves replied to Wookie Groomer's topic in ImgBurn Support
Power calibration errors are usually due to an incompatibility/lack of support between the burner and the media used. We've seen similar problems with people trying to burn BD-RE DL discs too. From our tests we've found Verbatim BluRay media to be the best, sometimes it was the only one that worked, but we don't burn a lot of BluRay discs. From what you've said I think you should complain to LG, Pioneer, Verbatim, Sony and whoever else you bought stuff from because they're doing a crappy job with their products. As for media advice, try posting at CDFreaks, AVSForum or similar boards and you might get more replies -
The option is in Tools -> Settings -> Write tab.

Try a lens cleaning disc on that drive. What's the brand of the media you're using?
-
If their burners aren't the exact same model and firmware version of yours then it isn't a fair comparison, is it?
-
You'll have to try to find out.

Does your windows account have administrator privileges? If it doesn't then you need to re-install ImgBurn and check the option Enable SPTI for All Users.

Update ImgBurn. You're using low quality media. Try burning at 4x or 6x to see if it works. You might also want to try a lens cleaning disc on that burner. If all that fails then please read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000

"Disc-at-once" mode vs. "Track-at-once" mode question
mmalves replied to GTW10's topic in ImgBurn Support
ImgBurn uses DAO by default: you can check the Write Type in Tools -> Settings -> Write tab. -
Create one dual layer disc from two single layer ISOs
mmalves replied to DoubleJava's topic in ImgBurn Support
You probably can, but you'll need to use a re-authoring program for that. DVD Shrink can do that, but if you use it make sure to output to a VIDEO_TS folder and use no compression. Also test with a software DVD player before burning -
Then you know why ImgBurn can't lock the drive for exclusive access: xbc is holding it. As such, you can ignore the message and continue anyway.
-
'Write Error' means the burner couldn't write on the disc. It could be due to dirt on the lens or the drive that doesn't like the media you're using. Try burning at 8x, and if that doesn't work, then try with higher quality media such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden blanks. You might want to try a lens cleaning disc on that drive but I'm not sure if it'll help much
-
That message is shown when other program is using the drive. Please read this post from the FAQ on how to find which program is holding the drive.
-
Try with the Incremental write type (Tools -> Settings -> Write tab). As far as I know that's the only thing CDBunerXP can be doing differently than ImgBurn
-
Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and try again. If it still doesn't work then use a write-once disc or get better rewritable discs such as Verbatim.

The option to change the mode is in the BIOS, which you can usually access by pressing DEL/F10/maybe other key(s) at the boot screen.

Failed to send Cue Sheet - Invalid Field in Parameter List
mmalves replied to kiru's topic in ImgBurn Support
Couldn't find win7 drivers for that chipset Which options do you have in the BIOS for the storage controller? -
It's in ImgBurn's Read Me: /DELETESOURCE <YES | NO> Used to make the program delete the source files after they've been burnt. Only applies to BUILD mode. *** USE WITH CAUTION *** Try it with a few folders first before using on the big list, just to be safe
-
It burned and verified OK, which means that data on the disc is the same as the source files. It could be that your PS3 doesn't like the 8x Verbatim blanks (or the burn quality your burner does on them) or a problem with the source files.
