  1. I'm sorry but if it isn't related to ImgBurn or burning in general then we can't help
  2. ImgBurn can't copy protected discs, which xbox360 games are.
  3. Are you using the latest BIOS version available for your motherboard?
  4. Your drive is in PIO mode. Follow the DMA post of the FAQ (removing contollers/etc) and it should go back to normal behaviour.
  5. Does your computer use nvidia chipset? Use SIW to find out.
  6. More info: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  7. All other brands besides Verbatim may use several different dyes so the only way to know is by buying a few and trying to burn them. One thing is for certain: with Verbatim you'll get much better burns than with any other brand/dye. By the way, I also have a Samsung SH-S203B burner and I get better quality burns on Verbatim 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) media by burning them at 4x.
  8. There's firmware 1.28 available for your burner. Remove any disc and close the tray before updating. Reboot after it has finished. Also, at which speed(s) are you burning your Verbatims? The best results usually are with 8x or 12x.
  9. There's firmware US09 available for your burner. Remove any and close the tray before updating. Reboot after it has finished. Not sure if it adds better support for MKM-003-00 blanks though
  10. It burned and verified fine, which means the disc was correctly burned. Most likely it's a PAL/NTSC issue.
  11. With newer burners, such as yours, slower doesn't necessarily mean a better burn. Try with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks. You might also want to try DVD+R blanks.
  12. There's firmware 1.05 available for your burner. Remove any disc from the drive and close the tray before updating. Reboot the computer when finished updating. What's the brand of the media you're using?
  13. You don't need to worry about drivers for now, but it is a good practice to monthly check nvidia's site for newer drivers Also, the next ImgBurn version will have a workaround for this bug and you'll be able to use SPTI again
  14. Can you please post a log of what happens when burning a 7.29GB game with ASPI?
  15. Try burning at 2.4x and if it still doesn't work then you should get the Verbatim specified in that thread
  16. Click the link I've posted above and download the pre-compiled bootable ISO (.zip) version. Open it and double-click on the ISO image inside (ImgBurn should open so that you can write that image to a disc). Burn it to a rewritable disc if you have one, or to a CD/DVD you can spare. When finished, leave the disc in the drive and reboot your computer. It should then automatically run Memtest+. Let it do at least 2 passes. Seeing as you have 3 GB of RAM that might take a while
  17. That just means the drive can read the disc, but not that the disc is a perfect copy of the source image/files. We told you about memtest so that you can test your system's memory, as faulty memory can result in miscompares while verifying.
  18. I'm using NOD32 4.1 because it's very fast (you almost don't notice it running) and it asks what you want to do when a suspect file is detected. If it can't be cleaned, the file is moved to quarantine and remains there for as long as you want. Never had a false positive with it. It's not free but if you want to test it send me a private message and I'll hook you up
  19. Update to the latest nvidia drivers for your nforce chipset. Also set ImgBurn to use ASPI interface (Tools -> Settings -> I/O tab). Use Ner0 ASPI available from ImgBurn's Download page. If I recall correctly you may get better burns on that media using 4x write speed.
  20. Update to the latest nforce drivers, even though for some people they still give bogus error messages with SPTI interface
  21. There's firmware 1.09 available for your burner. Remove any disc and close the tray before updating. Reboot after it has finished. You might also want to try the other available burn speeds. If all that doesn't help then please read this: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  22. Upon looking at the drivers it seems to be a JMicron 36x controller, so install this driver and see if it works. Also make sure you have the latest BIOS version. By the way, the manual says there's an option 'Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode' in Integrated Peripherals where you can set the JMicron controller to IDE mode, which is the most compatible mode for optical devices.
  23. We knew it wasn't a media problem, and that's why none of our posts said "use better media" I think your problem is related to buggy drivers from nvidia, and quite a lot of users are having different problems with them. With those filters removed and using Ner0's ASPI, do you still get a freeze while verifying? As for the other computer's slow reading, follow this guide completely (removing controllers/etc) and it should get faster than 2x speeds
  24. With ImgBurn in Write mode, what does it say at the top of the Information field? If there's a disc in the drive you can easily copy that text. By the way, which motherboard do you have?
