  1. Sounds like a hardware problem. Check the CPU temperature to see if it's in the good range. Also check the BIOS for a "shutdown on overheat" setting and see if it isn't set to a low value. You might also want to monitor/test your power supply (SpeedFan comes to mind).
  2. You really should leave Verify enabled, as that ensures the disc was correctly burned. You can still do this manually by using the Verify mode of ImgBurn.
  3. Haven't used it myself but it seems to be able to do what you want: http://bttb.sourceforge.net/overview.html
  4. This is your burner: brand: LG (a.k.a. HL-DT-ST) model:GSA-T20N current firmware:WP03
  5. Won't make any difference as you can't force the drive to use an unsupported write speed (ImgBurn will send the command as you've selected but the drive ignores it and uses a write speed closest the one you've selected).
  6. Try the 1.01 firmware available in this page under the DVR-113KG series and maybe it works on your burner. You may also want to try burning at 6x or 8x to see if you get it to burn, but your media is low quality anyway. Also please update ImgBurn to the latest version as you're way behind
  7. Try burning at 4x or 6x to see if it works. You might also want to check with the laptop's manufacturer for a newer firmware for your burner. If it still fails, get Verbatim 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) Made in Singapore blanks and it should work.
  8. Please post the full log of that burn. If I recall correctly DVD Flick saves ImgBurn's log in the same folder where the project is saved.
  9. There's also firmware 104C available for your burner. Remove any disc and close the tray before updating, then reboot after it has finished.
  10. Walking Dude, please start your own thread. Also post a log showing the problem (you can find the logs at Help menu -> ImgBurn Logs).
  11. Since your Windows XP seems to be in Italian language, this is the driver you want: http://www.nvidia.it/object/nforce_winxp_15.23_it.html If it's not Italian, you can find the driver in your language here.
  12. Have you tried closing Track/Session/Disc (in this order)? Please copy and paste the text shown in the Information area.
  13. Try burning at 4x and make sure Verify is enabled. If it still doesn't work then you should get Verbatim 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) Made in Singapore DVD+R DL blanks
  14. Could you try doing what post #32 says? By the way, there's firmware SB03 available for your SH-S183L burner. Remove any disc and close the tray before updating, then reboot after it has finished.
  15. If you're getting that error when trying to read the Wii games that's because they're protected, and ImgBurn can't read protected discs. Have a look around the 'net and you'll see
  16. The ISO format has a few limitations that the CUE/BIN format doesn't have (multiple tracks for example), so when ISO doesn't fit the job CUE/BIN is used. Provided that you're not going to use these images with other jurassic programs, pretty much everything supports CUE/BIN images.
  17. That only tells ImgBurn which speed to use when AUTO write speed is selected. Since you've tried 4x before and it didn't work, it serves to show the quality of the media you're using: some work, some don't. You get what you pay for.
  18. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtop...dpost&p=975 If the drive isn't locked for exclusive access then any other program can interrupt the burn and make a nice coaster of your disc. Even opening Windows Explorer could do it.
  19. Only +R media supports booktyping/bitsetting.
  20. If you're going to burn to dual-layer media then you don't need to use DVD Shrink. Have a look in our Guides section.

  22. The slowest speed doesn't always result in a better burn. If I recall correctly, even with Verbatim 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) blanks you'll get better quality burns at 4x with that Pioneer burner.
  23. Just to make sure: please uninstall the ImgBurn you have, reboot the computer, download the latest ImgBurn from the website and install it (if you're asked about keeping the settings answer No). Does it run now? Is there an ImgBurn.exe in the Processes list of Task Manager (right-click the taskbar to access this)?
  24. Make sure you have the latest drivers available for your motherboard's chipset (use SIW/Sandra/etc to find out which one you have if you don't know). Also please post your Filter Driver Load Order (look in ImgBurn's Tools menu).
