The .dvd file tells ImgBurn where the layerbreak should be, so there's no need to mess with the settings. Apart from Verbatim, other brands use the cheapest dye they can find to manufacture their disc, and the result is many coasters. Get Verbatim 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) Made in Singapore blanks and you'll have good burns

According to the specifications it should be the 2.4x blanks with MKM-001-00 dye, although the page doesn't state if they're Made in Singapore (higher quality) or in India (lower quality).

Try reading that disc on another drive. As for burning dual-layer with your burner, I guess it only supports Verbatim 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) DVD+R DL blanks (get the Made in Singapore ones) and, even then, it might not result in a good burn. Have you thought about buying a new burner? They're pretty cheap nowadays and you'd get much better quality burns on Verbatim media

Try this driver if you haven't.

Get the latest drivers for your motherboard's chipset (use SIW/Sandra/etc to find out which chipset you have).

It doesn't show in the log but they are finalised at the end of the burn, or else an error message would be shown.

It couldn't be more self explanatory, really. In the end it boils down to the burner not liking the media you're using. You could try finding firmware updates for your burner, which may have better support for the media you're using, and you could try with Verbatim media, as that seems to work better for everyone.

Try burning with better media such as Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks. By the way, does your DVD player play DivX/XviD files? If it doesn't then that disc won't play.

I don't know about Ner0, but ImgBurn's verify does a byte level compare of the data read from the disc against the data from the source image/files. It's the most accurate type of comparison that can be done. DVD players, on the other hand, simply skip sectors that can't be read, and usually the amount of lost data isn't enough to skip/freeze/drop-out the video stream. The thing is: you shouldn't be getting errors at all. If you do, it's most likely due to poor media quality and/or non-optimal burn speed/old firmware on the burner.

Then your burner really doesn't like the Verbatim 8x blanks

Try burning at 4x to see if it works. If it doesn't you should get Verbatim 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) Made in Singapore DVD+R DL blanks and it should work. You should be able to burn those Verbatim 8x blanks on any newer burner

Download and install the latest VIA Hyperion drivers and see if it solves your problem.

Try IsoBuster. Alternatively, you could try reading the files on those discs on a computer with Windows Vista or Windows 7, as both are able to read the UDF 2.60 filesystem.

Xbox 360 games are protected and ImgBurn can't copy protected discs.

Try changing the interface to ASPI in ImgBurn's settings (I/O tab).

With ImgBurn in Write or Build (to Device) mode, click the icon that looks like a CD with a red eraser on it. You can also use go to Tools menu -> Drive -> Erase Disc -> Quick/Full

Make sure you're using the latest drivers available for your motherboard's chipset, as 'invalid address for write' is usually collateral to some sort of write error (i.e. it follows another error that may not be being reported/detected).
