  1. Try the ASPI interface and see if anything changes.
  2. Have you tried with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media? Laptop drives are picky about the media they like.
  3. RITEK-D01-01 is the dye used to manufacture the disc you have. You don't need to manually set the layerbreak in ImgBurn's settings, as the .dvd file already tells ImgBurn where to place the layerbreak.
  4. I have that drive and it works fine with both -R and +R media. Can your drive play burned DVDs? Have you tried other brands/types of DVD?
  5. The log shows the buffer recovery kicking in only once, which isn't unusual to happen. Are you having other problems that you think are related to this? Are you sure you're using the latest drivers available for your motherboard's chipset? By the way... There's firmware SB03 available for your burner. Remove any disc and close the tray before updating. Reboot after it has finished.
  6. Please read this guide: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6376
  7. It would help us a lot if you posted the brand/model of your drive. This is shown at the top of the Information area on pretty much all of ImgBurn's modes.
  8. There's firmware 1.29 available for your burner. Remove any disc and close the tray before updating. Reboot after it has finished. The brand doesn't matter: it's the dye used to make the disc that's important, and the ones you have were made with just about the worst crap they could use.

  10. Is that burner on a Dell computer? If so, there's firmware DD26 available for it. Remove any disc and close the tray before updating. Reboot after it has finished. Also try burning at 8x or 12x instead of MAX.
  11. In ImgBurn go to Tools -> Drive -> Capabilities and check if your drive supports writing DVD+R DL discs. If it does, get the media described in this thread: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 If it still doesn't work, thrash your drive and get a new burner, they're pretty cheap //edit oops a little late
  12. Try with DVD+R media. And, as Cynthia said, leave Verify enabled as that ensures the disc was correctly burned

  14. Setting the write speed to MAX or to the highest available one won't make any difference. You can remove this: Lower Device Filter: tdcmdpst Can you put that burned disc in another drive and copy the information? We would like to see if a different drives sees the disc as not empty.
  15. The default program settings are fine, so you don't need to change anything. Having Verify enabled ensures the disc was correctly burned, as this compares data on the disc against the source data. With Verbatim blanks it should work fine on all the available burn speeds
  16. Most burners automatically booktype +R dual-layer media to DVD-ROM, but to be sure post the model and firmware of your burner (it's shown at the top of the Information area in most of ImgBurn's modes). As for how to use ImgBurn have a look at our Guides section. And regarding dual-layer media please read this thread
  17. Uncheck 'Layer Break On DVD-R DL' under Display Warnings in Tools -> Settings -> General tab.
  18. What's the brand of the media you're using?
  19. You only need to do a Full Erase once when the disc is brand new. Afterwards you don't need to erase it: just overwrite the data.

  21. Please mention programs that use this compression format, as I couldn't find anything
  22. Your file needs to be converted before burning to DVD, or else it wouldn't play on any DVD player. Those programs can do that, but I've heard DVD Flick isn't good for dual layer media.
  23. Yes, you should use the Write mode to burn ISO images.
  24. There's newer firmware 2.1B available for your burner (maybe it has better support for MKM-003-00 media). Remove any disc and close the tray before flashing. Reboot after it has finished.
