  1. It could be that your burner has poor support for that disc or the disc itself is worn out/dirty/scratched/etc. You could burn that to a DVD+R or DVD-R disc, which are much more reliable, or you could try with a Verbatim DVD+RW disc, which is known to work fine with most burners. On another note, you should get Service Pack 2 for Vista
  2. Most burners automatically booktype DVD+R DL to DVD-ROM by themselves, so your disc probably has DVD-ROM booktype. Post the log of the burn and we'll see.
  3. Your drive isn't capable of burning DVDs (it can only burn CDs). You'll need to buy a new drive, or perhaps use another computer that has a DVD burner.
  4. Try that burner on another computer to see if it's working OK.
  5. Your burner doesn't like the disc you're using. Try burning at 16x or 10x to see if it works.
  6. Burn a DVD-R with Test Mode enabled and, if it doesn't freeze your computer, copy and paste here the log for that session. Also try installing this driver package on your system.
  7. Yeah, like we don't get the same questions over and over again, ever
  8. Look for the latest chipset/storage drivers for your system (this website might help) as it seems the I/O is getting stuck and that's out of ImgBurn's control.
  9. Update your burner's firmware. Try with high quality media such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden blanks. Burn at 8x or 12x for best results.
  10. Copy the files from your Win7 DVD to your computer then follow this guide to make a bootable disc with them.

  14. I'm sorry but if it isn't a problem with ImgBurn or the burning process in general then we can't help you
  15. Try burning at 4x and 6x, that's 8x rated media after all. You could also try cleaning the drive with a lens cleaning disc, or even manually if you know how to do it. You could try finding the 2.4x Verbatim blanks too. If you have access to a non-slim, not too old desktop burner then it might be worth a shot too.
  16. Use 7-Zip/WinRAR/etc to look in the game folder as it sounds like you need to extract the image before you can burn it.
  17. Because 4x is the slowest speed your burner and its firmware support with that disc, and as you saw for yourself, it didn't work. All what the reader drive cares is the burn quality, which won't be optimal if you burn 8x rated media at 0.5x. Maybe cleaning the drive with a lens cleaning disc could help.
  18. Also don't use your D: drive with other programs while burning or you'll get buffer underruns again, which compromise the burn quality.
  19. If you don't want our advice then why did you post? There's no magic to make it work.
  20. Your burner is ancient and it doesn't support/recognise the new media you're using with it. While you're at it, update ImgBurn and install SP3 too.
  21. Try burning at 8x or 12x, maybe even 6x. //edit was too slow again

  23. Try with a brand new blank disc, as that one has been damaged in the failed burn. The cleaning disc could help, but if your burner can't burn the best media on the market then it's of little use.
  24. Try 6x or 8x. You could also try cleaning the drive with a lens cleaning disc.
