  1. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6218 http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/finalise
  2. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and try again. If it still doesn't work then read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  3. Does it also have that pause if you try with Test Mode enabled?
  4. Try with only UDF 1.02 and then you'll be able to tell upfront if the OS recognizes the disc or not. You might want to disable unicode support if you don't need it, as that ensures the most basic (and most compatible) UDF filesystem you can have.
  5. Look for updated drivers for your SATA controller. Also post your Filter Driver Load Order (look in ImgBurn's Tools menu). As for the OPC, it isn't the same as Pioneer's Optimal Write Speed feature (look 2 lines further in the log and you'll see about OWS). Have a look over at cdfreaks forum in the Pioneer section as people have tested that OWS feature (probably OPC too even being a completely different thing).
  6. That doesn't look like Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL blanks
  7. ImgBurn doesn't have support for Rock Ridge in its Build mode. Do those OSs not support UDF 1.02? It's not used only for DVD-Video.
  8. Sounds like a PAL/NTSC issue.
  9. It's the burner that's throwing up errors while burning so it should be pretty obvious that you need to clean the lens of the burner
  10. How's this a problem with ImgBurn? You should ask with whoever you've downloaded it from.
  11. Why are you using SB06 firmware when there's SB07 available? Since you didn't verify your burn we don't know if it was a good burn or not. You could also try cleaning the drive with a lens cleaning disc.
  12. Your burner doesn't support the blanks you're using. Try updating your burner's firmware. Also try with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks, preferably the 8x ones.
  13. Post the log of one of those burns that doesn't work (you can find the log in ImgBurn's Help menu). As for booktyping manually it's exactly the way you were doing (remember it said success).
  14. ImgBurn automatically booktypes +R media to DVD-ROM on Samsung burners, so you don't need to worry about it. Also, you do know that the booktype is only written to the disc when you actually burn it, right? By the way, you can find the latest firmware for your burner here (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished). And while you're at it, also have a look here
  15. If we had the ImgBurn's log showing the actual error reported by the drive then we could say what's the most likely reason of the problem.
  16. It should work just the same. As for the speed 4x is usually a safe one.
  17. Why don't you try a Full Erase using ImgBurn for instance and post the log of the operation as per the pink banner at the top of this forum? This is ImgBurn Support after all...
  18. Your burner barely supports those 8x rated Verbatim blanks, so it could be dirt on the drive's lens, which you can clean using a lens cleaning disc or even manually if you know how to do it, or the drive itself is wearing out. If you can afford an external full size burner (they aren't expensive) you'll get much better quality burns than you ever got with your slim burner.
  19. I'd get an Optiarc AD-7240S and a nice cheap external enclosure that has SATA interface inside
  20. Your burner made a bad burn at 4x, so try 6x or 8x to see if you get it to burn correctly. If it doesn't work then try with high quality media such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden blanks.
  21. Yup
  22. Sounds like you have driver problems. Look for the latest drivers for your motherboard's chipset and/or storage controllers (tip: use SIW to identify them then Google the drivers). Also post your Filter Driver Load Order (look in ImgBurn's Tools menu).
  23. The boot image name is made up by IsoBuster from the Developer ID field: the real boot image doesn't have a name. Sounds like the problem you're having has to do with the filesystem(s) used and their respective restrictions. Have you tried editing the ISO with UltraISO/PowerISO/MagicISO/*ISO/etc? Alternatively you could output to an Image File and boot it into a virtual machine like Micro$oft Virtual PC, VMWare or similar until you make it work.
  24. The burn relies on the burner/firmware/media combination: the software just feeds the data. Look for updated firmware for your burner and try all the available write speeds.
  25. When that happens, can you cancel/close ImgBurn?
