  11. sounds like your disc is PAL and you are trying to play it on an NTSC player or the other way round, not much you can do unless your player/tv supports both
  12. meritline, linked in lfc's post, have external cases and drives , choose a case without an ali chipset, choose a drive and away you go
  13. quite a lot people ask what do these scans mean so heres a meagre attempt at an explanation PI Errors should be as low as possible- the best burns are shown with a scale of 0-10 PI Failures should also be as low and as few as possible, many PIF errors will result in a low quality rating Jitter has an effect on the quality too, if the jitter goes over 10% the quality drops dramatically. If error correction totally fails, that's when you get a PO Failure (Parity Outer). The PO Failures are the ones where you'd then get a I/O Error during Verify etc as the drive couldn't read the disc The Quality Rating will give a good idea as to how good the scan is We on this forum tend to scan all things at 8x CAV so the scans are done the same way If you take a snapshot, then save it as .PNG as it looks clearer and more defined.
  14. I 09:04:15 Source File File System(s): None this could be a problem if you want it to work in a standalone dvd player
  15. laptop drives are pretty iffy really , if it was me, i would buy an external drive and not from dell as they dont make drives. an 8x burner is adequate as burns over 8x tend to suffer in scan quality
  16. you can't get 4.35gb on to a cd you could buy an external usb/firewire dvd burner .
  17. just drag and drop the files you want burned into imgburn in build mode, choose your drive as the destination and burn. take a read of the build mode overview in the guides section for help , or just ask again if its unclear after that
